  1. Williams, I make it a point not to listening to either one of these chaps. However, I did nothing more than what you did in calling out your own member for their shady and questionable financial practices: https://bloggingtheology.net/2015/07/13/1315/

  3. Hi guys
This is why I don’t believe or have any time for the prosperity gospel and the false doctrine that they teach, which spoken about in the bible.

2Pe 2:1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
2Pe 2:2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.
2Pe 2:3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.

  4. Sam, I’d really like for there to be more communication and respect amongst Christians and Muslims online engaging in apologetics and other forms of activism. I was just in Jonathan’s Zoom chat with Alistair and Brian Marrion. A civil discourse with a bit of polite banter.

    It was respectful and polite.

Let’s try and work towards this between yourself and Muslims online

For the record, I complete understand why Sam called out ABN. I did have some brief email exchanges with Bassim’s daughter a few years back but I can’t say I know much about Bassim Gorial.

    All the best

    Peace

    • Lol Sam

I’ve recently liked a few of your comments on here too. 🙂

But seriously Sam, one day SOON, let’s get into a Zoom room with Jonathan, Aqil and Ijaz and get a polite chat going so we can move things forward. We can have a bit of friendly banter too but at least communication channels will be opened – it would be a start. I don;t agree with everything online Muslims do and say. I don’t even agree with everything that comes from online Muslims concerning you even. So it’s important not to allow some bad experiences in the past to cloud the future

TBH We have a common enemy n the form of Atheism that wants to see us bickering amongst each other like this whilst they enforce their agenda into schools and society as a whole.

I hope to go to the church later today and listen to the sermon whilst observing. I’d recommend you do that on a Friday at a mosque one day.

      Peace

  5. I saw some minutes of the video, but from what I have read, the Prosperity Gospel is not for Christians, they quote excerpts from the Old Testament that promise good financial times.

But those passages are promises given to the Jewish people, that they would prosper economically if they kept the Mosaic Law. The Prosperity Gospel preachers must now this, but many Protestants don’t think, they don’t use a methodology to evaluate such and such a claim.

  6. It is worse, the Prosperity Gospel preachers say they do the work of God.

If you given THEM money, then you are helping the work of God,and God will give YOU financial benefits.

I had forgot to state another detail in favor of the Synoptics being pre 70 AD,in fact being pre 62 AD,the year James, the brother of Jesus, was killed in Jerusalem,as told by Jewish historian Josephus(44-100 AD).

He mentions the death of James in the book “Antiquities of the Jews” (Book 20, Chapter 9, 1). Josephus refers to the stoning of “James the brother of Jesus, the one called the Messiah” by order of Ananus ben Ananus, the High Priest.

Luke-Acts end with St Paul still alive, and no mention of the death of James.

  7. Mark,Matthew and Luke have Jesus ask:“Who do you say I am?” And Peter says “You are the Messiah”.

Luke 9:18-22 does NOT say WHERE the conversation took place but Mark and Luke do.

Mark has a lot of melodrama in it:

    Mark 8:27-33

“Jesus went out, along with His disciples, to the villages of Caesarea Philippi; and on the way He questioned His disciples, saying to them, “Who do people say that I am?”

They told Him, saying, “John the Baptist; and others say Elijah; but others, one of the prophets.” And He continued by questioning them, “But who do you say that I am?” Peter answered and said to Him, “You are the Christ.” And He warned them to tell no one about Him.

And He began to teach them that the Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders and the chief priests and the scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again.

And He was stating the matter plainly. And Peter took Him aside and began to rebuke Him. But turning around and seeing His disciples, He rebuked Peter and *said, “Get behind Me, Satan; for you are not setting your mind on God’s interests, but man’s.”

    Matthew 16:13-23

Here we also learn that it was then, that Jesus changed Peter’s name from Simon to Peter.

“Now when Jesus came into the district of Caesarea Philippi, He was asking His disciples, “Who do people say that the Son of Man is?” And they said, “Some say John the Baptist; and others, Elijah; but still others, Jeremiah, or one of the prophets.”

He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Simon Peter answered, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” And Jesus said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Barjona, because flesh and blood did not reveal this to you, but My Father who is in heaven.

I also say to you that you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build My church; and the gates of Hades will not overpower it. I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; and whatever you bind on earth shall have been bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall have been loosed in heaven.” Then He warned the disciples that they should tell no one that He was the Christ.

From that time Jesus began to show His disciples that He must go to Jerusalem, and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised up on the third day.

Peter took Him aside and began to rebuke Him, saying, “God forbid it, Lord! This shall never happen to You.”

But He turned and said to Peter, “Get behind Me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to Me; for you are not setting your mind on God’s interests, but man’s.””

  8. The interesting thing is this:

Both Mark and Matthew give the name of the city as Caesarea Philippi. In 61 AD, King Agrippa II renamed city Neronias in honour of Roman Emperor Nero: “Neronias Irenopolis” was the full name. But this name held only till 68 AD when Nero committed suicide.

If Matthew, who copied Mark, had written between 62-68 AD,then he would more probably have used the name Neronias, instead of Caesarea Philippi.

You guys love to point out Sam is an uneducated but still he can and will easily destroy your Paul Williams and believe me it won’t take long, So what’s the point of Paul’s education? 🙂

    • No point that I can see. I don’t need to watch the video. Jonathan was badly hurt in his debate with me and Mansur and he just keeps on making video after video to somehow make up for his loss.

But he is not a heavyweight Christian thinker. His fundamentalism keeps him stupid. Which is sad.

  10. After listening to the video all the way I decided to check out a few Trinity channel debates where David Wood participated, never having heard him before:

“David Wood vs Shabir Ally – Jesus, Son of God or Prophet of Islam?”

“Debate: Does Muhammad give us the truth about Jesus? David Wood vs Shabir Ally”

“Debate: Does Paul Give Us the Truth about Jesus? ”

I don’t know what in the world David Wood was complaining about, that he hated being there?

The moderator was very professional, great, never pushy, and the questions from viewers were after the debate, not in the middle. The only explanation is he is tired of religion, but it is not that he was being mistreated.
