Egyptology: Haman in the Quran before the discovery of hieroglyphics | Jack The Lad

Some of the information about ancient Egypt contained in the Qur’an reveals historical facts that had remained hidden until only recently. These facts show that there is specific wisdom in every word of the Qur’an.One of the people referred to in the Qur’an alongside Pharaoh is “Haman.” Haman is described in 6 verses of the Qur’an as one of Pharaoh’s close retinue.

This information in the Qur’an was confirmed by archeological discoveries made centuries later:
Until the 18th century it was impossible to read monuments and inscriptions written in the language of ancient Egypt. Because the language was written in hieroglyphics and had been forgotten many centuries before.

Ancient Egyptian hieroglyphics were deciphered in 1799, with the discovery of a monumental text dating back to 196 AD, called the Rosetta Stone. With the decipherment of hieroglyphics, one very important piece of information came to light: The name “Haman” really did…

  1. Yes, and I think that was mentioned by Maurice Bucaille, a French Doctor, who converted to Islam in his book
(The Bible, The Qur’an and Science).

    • Sorry, I think it was mentioned in his book ( Moses and Pharaoh in the Bible Quran and History)
You may find it in Amazon for those interested.

    • Do Muslims actually still believe what Maurice says in his Quran bible science book?
If so, that is a shame.

For your own sake that book does more harm than good. Might have gotten away with it in the 80s and 90s but the accessibility of articles and research on the internet have vastly shown that his claims have been refuted. This lead to many dawahangists who relied on his book to retract many of their words and videos, even to the point where one like Hamza Tzortzis made a video conceding that the Quran has no scientific miracles.

What is the gist of it?

    • You are right, it’s a very long and detailed document. Full credit to the author. It’s saying that there is no real argument for a link between the two Hamans. It also showed the Book of Esther, where the Biblical Haman is mentioned is unquestionably fiction. The last paragraph sums it up.
“Should the Qur’an be considered wrong or confused by default simply because it does not report the same type of information found in the Bible? Interestingly, it is never stated whether the Bible could have its information wrong or confused.”

Worth reading if you were going to personally take the argument further. As for me I’ll just sit back and smoke piped tobacco, secure in the knowledge that honest and reliable scholars, such the above mentioned author, are burning the midnight oil on my behalf. May God reward them.

    • LOL Kujo, your posts keep getting dumber and dumber! How desperate are you? “Haman hoax”??? Hmmm, is that another one of your crackpot theories that you learned from your time at the prestigious Google University?

By the way, did you know that your Bible is full of historical absurdities, including in the famous story of the Exodus? Yeah, it’s true! For example, see the following: http://quranandbible.blogspot.com/2014/11/the-exodus-from-egypt-part-i.html

This was totally debunk in the 90’s. You would be wise to use GOOGLE on this lol

Let me ask you do you believe that Neil Armstrong heard the call to prayer from Mecca when he walked on the moon?

Debunked? By who. There has to be a point where even you will realise just because you wish for something it does not make it true. Please Provide sources that debunk the findings of the Department of Biological Sciences, Macquarie University and those of Australian Society for Microbiology Conference. I look forward to your lies and links to “answering Islam” and other such sewage sources.

I know christians like you have trouble with basic arithmetic (think the trinity) but surely even you know that the “90’s” were before the Millenium right?

Moving on to the absurdities and insults against the prophets found in your pagan writings you should note that Jesus predicted the last day/end of days would happen during the lifetimes of his contemporaries, yet here we are almost 2000 years later and we are still waiting. Aren’t false prophecies a sign of the devil?

      “Matthew” 16:28:-

“Truly I tell you, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom.”

    • Hi
Matthew 16:28 is not a false prophecy you need to read the parallel text.
You don’t understand prophecy and please don’t bring up pagan the whole of your religion is pagan to the core.

And furthermore why do Muslims believe in a second coming? So you guys are waiting for the fulfillment of a false prophecy?

Something I have always wondered is why in Islamic theology Jesus needs to die, does every single human being have to die before judgement day?

    • Just so you know “no it’s not” is not an argument amongst adults. You make claim after claim and have no proof whatsoever just “no you’re wrong”. You ignored the two statements and went on a diatribe as per usual.

      Answer the questions:

      1) You claimed the antibacterial properties about the fly have been “debunked” but bring no sources at all (in fact you completely ignored this point and failed to mention it in your pathetic response). I provided the research and scientific proof: http://www.abc.net.au/science/articles/2002/10/01/689400.htm

      2) “Matthew” 16:28 clearly states time and the location and that his contemporaries will live to see him again even Christian scholars know this to be the “last day”.

“Truly I tell you, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom.”

You stated something about “parallel” text but provide yet again absolutely no evidence. Please go and find something somewhere that tries to cover up the fact that this is a false prophecy.

Jesus says “This generation will not pass away until all these things have taken place” (Mark 13:30). I know some people believe “this generation” refers to the generation that “sees all these things”, but that interpretation doesn’t jive with me, especially in light of Matthew 16:28. It seems to me that Jesus (and his followers) really believed he would be returning in the disciples lifetime.

The “Parallel” texts as you say further compound the issue and extinguish any hope you had including your typical go-to excuse of “its a parable”.

Bring your proof, not your desires.

My response what in the world does “Biological Sciences” and “Microbiology Conference” have to do with Egyptian Hieroglyphics lol

Seriously man do you guys even do any research before you post and repeat your nonsense?

Seriously a simple google search would give you all the information you need to prove that this is a hoax a bad one at that.

  5. Hello All,

In regards to dating the Pharo who the Quran was referring to (and possible the Torah) , was there not the discovery of the Pharaohs body in the red sea or something and his body is being exhibited in various museums around the world?

If so that would mean that we can identify the pharaoh himself and data the time of death via various methods including decomposition etc?

    Like

  6. to add I wonder how they would identify the body as to belong to Pharaoh and why it can’t be just someone who had the misfortune to drown in the red sea?

I’m gonna clue you in since you seem so clueless. I really don’t want you corrected. I want Muslims like yourself to keep repeating this hoax, and the hoax about Neil Armstrong on the moon, and the hoax of the 90 foot skeleton being found etc…

    • Hi Paulus
According to Hadith isn’t Adam meant told been 90feet tall? Maybe a well informed Muslim can verify that for me.

Here are some Hadith authentic I believe unless someone can correct me.

      Narrated Abu Huraira:
The Prophet said, “Allah created Adam, making him 60 cubits tall. When He created him, He said to him, “Go and greet that group of angels, and listen to their reply, for it will be your greeting (salutation) and the greeting (salutations of your offspring.” So, Adam said (to the angels), As-Salamu Alaikum (i.e. Peace be upon you). The angels said, “As-salamu Alaika wa Rahmatu-l-lahi” (i.e. Peace and Allah’s Mercy be upon you). Thus the angels added to Adam’s salutation the expression, ‘Wa Rahmatu-l-lahi,’ Any person who will enter Paradise will resemble Adam (in appearance and figure). People have been decreasing in stature since Adam’s creation. (Sahih al-Bukhari, Volume 4, Book 55, Number 543)

      Narrated Abu Huraira:
Allah’s Apostle said, “The first group of people who will enter Paradise, will be glittering like the full moon and those who will follow them, will glitter like the most brilliant star in the sky. They will not urinate, relieve nature, spit, or have any nasal secretions. Their combs will be of gold, and their sweat will smell like musk. The aloes-wood will be used in their centers. Their wives will be houris. All of them will look alike and will resemble their father Adam (in statute), sixty cubits tall.” (Sahih al-Bukhari, Volume 4, Book 55, Number 544)

Abu Huraira reported Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: The first group of my Ummah to get into Paradise would be like a full moon in the night. Then those who would be next to them; they would be like the most significantly glittering stars in regard to brightness, then after them (others) in ranks. They would neither void excrement, nor pass water, nor suffer from catarrh, nor would they spit. And their combs would be made of gold, and the fuel of their braziers would be aloes and their sweat would be musk and their form would be the form of one single person according to the length of their father sixty cubits tall. This hadith has been transmitted on the authority of Ibn Abi Shaiba with a slight variation of wording. (Sahih Muslim, Book 040, Number 6796, cf. No. 6795)

Abu Huraira reported Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, created Adam in His own image with His length of sixty cubits, and as He created him He told him to greet that group, and that was a party of angels sitting there, and listen to the response that they give him, for it would form his greeting and that of his offspring. He then went away and said: Peace be upon you! They (the angels) said: May there be peace upon you and the Mercy of Allah, and they made an addition of” Mercy of Allah”. So he who would get into Paradise would get in the form of Adam, his length being sixty cubits, then the people who followed him continued to diminish in size up to this day. (Sahih Muslim, Book 040, Number 6809; cf. Sahih al-Bukhari, Volume 8, Book 74, Number 246)

This is not made up by Christians.

Pay attention now Kujo. I know your Gentile dog brain cannot process a lot of information, but try anyway. You see, my canine friend, when you make a claim in a discussion, you usually back it up with evidence. You don’t say “well, look it up”. Get it? So, present your evidence Kujo. Don’t run away. Show me the evidence you found on Google and cite your sources.

Let’s see your Google degree in action! 😉

  11. The “Haman in the hieroglyphics” thing is outdated unfortunately.
The only source for this claim is Maurice Bucaille and we all know how credible he is.

I think this Haman thing was once mentioned in Wikipedia but has been removed for quite some time now because they could not find any other source to back up Maurice’s claim.

Haman’s name is not found in the Rosetta Stone. I remember talking about his other claimed miracle of the Quran about the preservation of the Pharoahs body despite many pharaohs having their bodies preserved.
I thought that one was bad but this is worse because he almost mentions it from thin air. The only credible thing about Maurice Bucaille is that he went to Egypt. That doesn’t mean that everything else he says is true.

For anyone who thinks I’m lying, try do some research on Haman in Egypt or the name Haman in hieroglyphs and get back to me on this site when you find a credible source.
