Missionary Fail! Nazam & Paul vs Christian Missionary

Missionary tries to tell Muslims that lying is acceptable in Islam but when the tables are turned and lying is pointed out in the Bible, things get a bit awkward for him.

2 Thessalonians 2:11:

“For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie”

  7. midwives’ lie: (Exod. 1:15–21)
    Elijah’s lie (2 Kings 6:19).
    God lies (2 Thessalonians 2:11)
    Paul lies: (1 Corinthians 9:19-23)
    Rabab lies (Joshua 2:1:5)

The fact is, Bible Scripture offers no subtle philosophical distinctions to justify or to excuse such lies. Therefore, Taqiyyah is clearly documented in the Bible, and allows for unlimited lying in any and all circumstances. without distinction.

In contrast, the only justification for lying in Qur’an is if one is under extreme force/duress or in fear of direct persecution.

  8. The Midwives disobedience to the Pharaoh (Exodus 1:15-21) and subsequent lying was righteous; as was Rahab’s lie. (Joshua 2:1-24 and James 2:25) I would see that as parallel to some Evangelical Christians lying to the Nazis during the World War 2 times, who come to the door and want to get Jews out to kill them, but lying to the Nazis. Nothing wrong with that; in fact everything right with that. Corrie Ten Boom and her family were righteous for hiding Jews in their house from the Nazis.

Most of the time, lying is sin; but those 3 examples are not sinful lies. (2 Biblical examples and one from WW 2 history)

The example of 2 Kings 6:19 is Elisha, not Elijah. (I don’t fully understand that passage; need to study it more deeply in the context of all of chapter 6-7).

I Corinthians 9:19-23 does not endorse lying and the apostle Paul renounces lying and deception. ( 2 Corinthians 4:2) There is nothing about lying there; and not an endorsement of lying.

God cannot lie ( Titus 1:2; Hebrews 6:18)

“God, who cannot lie” – Titus 1:2

“It is impossible for God to lie” – Hebrews 6:18

Therefore, 2 Thessalonians 2:11 does not mean that God Himself does any lying, but that He sovereignly allows them to be deceived even more, because they already had sinned a lot by “refusing to love the truth and be saved” and they wanted the wicked deception of Satan (verses 9-10).

It is like when God allows Satan to attack Job (Job chapters 1-2), God does not do the attacking or suffering Himself, but allows Satan to attack Job and his family. God also allowed Paul to undergo suffering from Satan, in 2 Corinthians 12:7-10. God also allowed Joseph’s brothers to do evil things to him, but God had a higher purpose in allowing evil and suffering to take place – Genesis chapters 37-50; see Genesis 50:20. “You (Joseph’s brothers) meant it for evil, but meant it for good”.

Ken God does not say that he ‘allows’ people to be deceived but rather instigates the delusion himself.

So if is it okay for God to send a ‘powerful delusion’ to unbelievers then why can’t you? Are you better than God?

  9. I don’t see him as a missionary (is he ? usually a missionary is one is who is formally ordained and sent out by their local church (Acts 13:1-4) and by a missionary organization.) , he just seems like a regular Christian who is sincerely trying to share the faith ( I guess) in evangelism, but I disagree with his view – that all lying is sin – I see those 3 examples as proof that there are exceptions.

No, you are using the word “inspired” – only the Apostolic Writings are God-breathed / inspired, along with the OT. “all Scripture is God-breathed/ inspired” – the emphasis is on the writing, not the person, though the prophet and apostles were carried along by the Holy Spirit to write what they wrote – 2 Peter 1:19-21.

He is a sincere Christian, but needs to study more.

Having the Holy Spirit indwelling us and guiding us is a different issue than “inspiration”.

    • It’s clearly deceiving him which is condoned in the scripture “God is a deceiving spirit”. Its ironic that in the Quran it says God is the best of planners and Christians try and make out that it means deceiving all the while not realising that their terrible interpretation of God is verbatim described as a lying deceiver in their own texts. If this does not shake them from their zombie-like state then nothing will…

  10. If he is a true believer, the Holy Spirit indwells him ( Ephesians 1:13-14; Romans 5:5; 8:9; John 7:37-39; 1 Corinthians 6:19-20)

But the Holy Spirit can only guide someone who has studied the issues throughly in the Scriptures; and then uses their intellect & knowledge to give them good answers to people’s questions.

If someone is not prepared in the Word in his mind, the Holy Spirit cannot use what we don’t have in their.
We also have to submit to the Holy Spirit.

He was sincerely trying the best he could with what knowledge he has; although I don’t know what he meant (If I understand him right) by “the wheel” being a symbol of Satan. That was goofy, if I understand him saying that.

Weird, unbelievable answer. God can do anything, can’t he?

Someone who claims he is “indwelled” by God (what the heck does it mean?) and talks nonsense lost all credibility. Preaching won’t help.

“be permanently present in (someone’s soul or mind); possess spiritually”

“Indwelled” means someone living inside them. So apparently the all mighty is dwelling inside his creation… is he there when they go to the toilet or urinate or having sex?

I would say it means they are possessed by Satan or his minions.

These people are so misled and confused it’s scary.

  12. Here’s another epic missionary fail. Hate, ignorance with a liberal sprinkling of arrogance. I see brother Paul appearing halfway through the video in the back lol. This is probably worth a thread of its own as it exposes the sheer miserable depths that the usual suspects go to to lie and misrepresent Islam. But they will always fail and we should be thankful that they provide us with an opportunity to expose them and shine a light on their falsehood. The more they lie the more they get exposed and the more people come to Islam. As Allah promised:

“And, do not cloak (and confuse) the truth with falsehood. Do not suppress the truth knowingly. (The Noble Quran, 2:42)”

“Yea, in their own (eyes) will become manifest what before they concealed. But if they were returned, they would certainly relapse to the things they were forbidden, for they are indeed liars. (The Noble Quran, 6:28)”

    • Encouraging comment by a christian on the video:

      Peter Foote:

Again, Im in awe of this man Shabir Yusaf, whom seems to have no peer, & posesses such clarity of mind & argument . As a Christian myself, I was deeply disappointed at the sisters stubborn ignorance, in simple rational discussion & debate. It does make for a waste of precious time for all involved. I look forward to new material, in the warmer months from this man, whom has truly captured hearts & minds of people from all faiths. God Bless you Sir.
