Christian Missionaries Teach Children Heresy

On Christian missionary website “Superbook” aimed at children you find an inspired Q&A concerning

“How can God be be three persons and one person at the same time?”

The Answer:

“The best answer to this is that it’s a mystery! There are some things we can’t understand very well. But we know that they are true nonetheless. Many things that are true can be difficult for us to understand. …

… The doctrine of the Trinity is just like that.

While not perfect, a good way to imagine how the Trinity works is to consider how water can exist in three forms. Water can be a liquid, water can be a solid (ice), and water can be a gas (steam or vapor), but all three forms are still water.”

The irony

The missionaries’ aim:

“Discover how you can know God”
“We want kids … growing in their relationship with Jesus.”

  4. Aside from the heresy, it seems to me this way of teaching is designed to inhibit the children from questioning their Trinitarian belief later: elicit their curiosity about a problem which they may or may not have thought about at this point in their young lives, then shut it down with dogma.

“The best answer to this is that it’s a mystery!”

  5. If you qualified it by saying that the one single person has no self consciousness in relation to any of the three persons but only with personal beings outside of God it might make some sense. Otherwise it would amount to saying that another person exists within God who is conscious that he is a person and that he is neither Father, nor Son or nor Holy Spirit. This is irrational from a trinitarian point of view.

As we trinitarians don’t relate to God as one person under the new covenant it is all rather abstract and perhaps irrelevant. We don’t need to explain God to the nth degree in order to believe or know him adequately. These kinds of questions are just another manifestation of unbelief as Paul mentioned. Telling us to avoid vain philosophy.

    • “If you qualified it by saying that the one single person has no self consciousness in relation to any of the three persons but only with personal beings outside of God it might make some sense.” Really?

“Otherwise it would amount to saying that another person exists within God who is conscious that he is a person and that he is neither Father, nor Son or nor Holy Spirit. This is irrational from a trinitarian point of view.” That’s exactly what they do all the time.

  6. Where’s the heresy? An analogy is being used for a concept that by definition must be beyond the complete comprehension of all human beings.

By comparison, allah is “one” like – by way of analogy – all beings in his creation. Allah is not god, ergo.

      I say;
-How about Trinity 3 persons that can be counted like any created 3 persons?
-How about a man worshiper you are like any other created man i.e. Haile Selaissie, Sai Baba, the mormons gods of mulitipersons?

If I say there is only one heaven. Does that mean you know heaven and have complete comprehension of heaven without visiting heaven?

We all believe in heaven but none of us have ever been to heaven, so no one can claim comprehension of heaven without visiting heaven.

In the same vein, no one has seen God and God cannot be seen according to the Bible, so how can one claim he has seen God that cannot be seen? Except in the fantasy world of Paul of Tarsus, Kev and others who can see and not see at the same time.

This “Allah is one like his creations” theory is obviously another copy of Sam Shamoun’s baseless attack on Muslims which no sane Christian like Ken Temple, Dr. James R. White and even Paulus will not repeat except Kev.

      ———-
“Hear, O Israel! Yahweh is our God, Yahweh is one [echad]!” Deuteronomy 6:4
“there is no one like Yahweh our God.” Exodus 8:10
“Is there any God besides Me, Or is there any other Rock? I know of none.” Isaiah 44:8
“I am Yahweh, and there is no other; Besides Me there is no God.” Isaiah 45:5
“Surely, God is with you, and there is none else, No other God.” Isaiah 45:14
“I am Yahweh, and there is none else.” Isaiah 45:18
      ———-

If Sam Shamoun cannot think, why not think for him Kev? Think for Sam, instead of copying his work that are baseless. Is the above verses from the Bible not saying there is nothing and no one like God? and God is One. Why not blame the Bible for saying God is one and there is nothing like God? You chose to ignore that but to attack Islam. This is the double standards that Dr. James White is preaching against.

      Thanks.
