This text is often cited as evidence of some kind of dishonesty on Allah’s part, but the honest reader recognizes that just as God sent a lying spirit into the mouths of false prophets as a means by which He brought just punishment on those who rebelled against Him (1 Kings 22:33), and just as the New Testament warns that those who refuse to love the truth will be caused to love a lie (2 Thessalonians 2:10-11), this text could well be saying that when people scheme against Allah and His ways, they will find Allah is significantly better at that activity than they are. Now that I have posted the articles refuting the fact of Yahweh being a deceiver, while proving that the Allah of the Quran is a wicked vile deceiver and pervert who is identical to Satan, let me squash James White’s shameless and pitiful appeal to 2 Thessalonians 2:9-12 to excuse the fact of Allah being a deceiver according to the Quran. Here is the passage in question:
“that is, the one whose coming is in accord with the activity OF SATAN, with all power and signs and false wonders, and with all the deception of wickedness FOR THOSE WHO PERISH, BECAUSE THEY DID NOT RECEIVE THE LOVE OF THE TRUTH SO AS TO BE SAVED. FOR THIS REASON, God will send upon them a deluding influence so that they will believe what is false, in order that they all may be judged WHO DID NOT BELIEVE THE TRUTH, BUT TOOK PLEASURE IN WICKEDNESS.”
As the context makes clear, God doesn’t deceive or delude anyone, especially those who love him and his word. Rather, Paul’s meaning here is that God sends upon unbelievers a powerful delusion by allowing Satan to work through the man of lawlessness with deceptive signs and wonders in order to cause those who hate God’s truth to be duped into following the lie. Note how the passage emphasizes that the reason why God permits Satan to deceive these people is because they have turned their backs on God and his truth, since they prefer to follow the lie and delight in wickedness. This is NOTHING like what the Quran says about Allah. Allah doesn’t merely allow Satan to deceive unbelievers, but he himself lies and deceives people directly, including believers! Therefore, White should be ashamed of himself for misusing these biblical verses in order to give the impression that the Holy Bible describes God similarly to the way the Quran depicts Allah, thereby giving the enemies of the Gospel a weapon to use against us by giving them the misleading impression that our God is just like their god.
This man really needs to either step down or return to debating Catholics and Mormons. He needs to leave Islam to the rest of us.

As God is the one who created Satan and allows him to deceive, then ultimately it is God who orchestrates the deceit, albeit for his own purposes which are good in his own divine providence.
In other words, same thing.
PS- Sam, instead of insulting God and calling him vile and disgusting names, why can’t you just say that according to your belief, Muslim understandings are wrong. Why all the insults? I know it is impossible for you but at least TRY to be a professional.

As if his teachings for more than 1500 years are not enough for them to be deceived (i.e I mean God’s teachings that he is not a man, and He doesn’t die) The poor jews!
What makes things be worse that christians have been persecuting jews for more than thousand years for not believing in Jesus! The “god who loves his enemy”!

Look, just talk normally. There are many Christians who do just that, converse normally with a level of respect and maturity. Why is it you, somebody who presumably believes he has the Holy Spirit guiding him, cannot communicate with a level of maturity and decency? Interesting.

Sam, your pathetic despirate attempt to justify God in the bible decieving people is saying the quran says allah is a deceiver? ( which you cant show the quran says, just your pathetic mental gymnastics).
We can clearly show that it says god decieved prophets (etc Jeremiah) in the bible, you cant do that same thing with the quran, so what do u do??? BUTCHER THE TEXT AND MAKE IT SAY SOMETHING NO SCHOLAR IN ANTIQUITY WOULD SUGGEST IT SAID. seems like sam is the only honest person here and all the other translators and commantators of the quran are Practising TAQQIYAH! (Or in his words “too ahamed to translate what the arabic actually say”).

We know there are a lot of rapist, murderers, armed gangs etc. in the USA.
Sam: When an armed rapist entered your house(which they do) and demand your teenage daughter and you knew very well that is is hiding in the roof or ceiling of your house.
Will you deceive him and tell him she is not around? Or will you lead him to the ceiling to rape your daughter?
Sam, if you do not deceive the rapist and lead him to rape your daughter, God will never forgive you. No wonder your religion teaches to help bad people to rape your daughters. Most Christians will tell you that, your religion that tells you not to deceive a a rapist and lead him to rape your daughter is not Christianity.
Sam will you not deceive a rapist and lead him to rape your daughter?
If you cannot answer then it is wise for you to find something against Islam and not deceive as you are.

There are so many deceptions by Jesus in the Bible. Take for instance when the Egyptians were deceived to enter in the red sea. They were later crushed by Jesus as God of the Christians, so that they were drowned. Do you call Jesus omnipotent deceiver? Sam Shamoun and David Wood are really fools. Their criteria applies to their lord Jesus Christ as omnipotent deceiver in so many verses from the Bible.
Dr. James White is wise to exonerate himself from the shit of so many Christian apologetics especially Sam and David.
