    Eph 6 v 9 And, ye masters, do the same things unto them, forbearing threatening: knowing that your Master also is in heaven; neither is there respect of persons with him.

    Col 4 v 1 Masters, give unto your servants that which is just and equal; knowing that ye also have a Master in heaven.

  2. The only restriction on the freedom of the OT servant was the choice of his master, the type of work and his length of Service.

    More progressive than Islam which set no bounds on the possible restrictions of freedom, even stooping to Mutilation.

    Even war itself did not justify turning a man in to a slave for Commercial purposes. It was against the law to arbitrarily take a man captive in order to make him a slave This was punishable by death.

      That’s nice but where does Jesus associate freeing slaves with virtue?

      The prophet instructed freeing a slave if the master slaps him.(Sahih Muslim).
