The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, “The supplication of a Muslim for his (Muslim) brother in his absence will certainly be answered. Everytime he makes a supplication for good for his brother, the angel appointed for this particular task says: ‘A meen! May it be for you, too’.” Sahaih Muslim.
“… a Muslim for his (Muslim) brother” -and where in a Muslim minority society the bracketed qualification is the anxious insistance that ‘brotherhood’ for Islam must remain parochial and un-integrative and not to be infiltrated by the universalist view of it by other fellow citizens.
A non-Muslim friend of mine is fasting during Ramadan. He used to be an evangelical, but stopped practicing for the last couple of years after he realized that the Bible is not God’s word and that Jesus is not God. He has been studying the Quran and Hadiths and has told me that he is close to accepting Islam. Please keep him in your prayers and ask Allah to guide him.
