  2. at the 5:38 mark, Paul Williams says it is in Surah 5:53, but he is quoting Surah 5:32. (that is a quote from the Jewish traditions in the Talmud – “we proscribed for the children of Israel . . . ” )

“For this reason did We prescribe to the children of Israel that whoever slays a soul, unless it be for manslaughter or for mischief in the land, it is as though he slew all men; and whoever keeps it alive, it is as though he kept alive all men; and certainly Our messengers came to them with clear arguments, but even after that many of them certainly act extravagantly in the land.” Surah 5:32

But Paul left out Surah 5:33, which is what seems to be one of the verses that radical Islamists/Jihadists/ terrorists use to justify their violence.

“Indeed, the penalty for those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger and strive upon earth [to cause] corruption is none but that they be killed or crucified or that their hands and feet be cut off from opposite sides or that they be exiled from the land. That is for them a disgrace in this world; and for them in the Hereafter is a great punishment,” Surah 5:33

The radical Muslim- Jihadist-terrorists say the west is fighting against Allah and His messenger, therefore what they do is justified, in their understanding.

    How do you answer that?

    • When the West invades and occupies Muslim countries, when it provides economic and military support to brutal dictators (ex. the Shah of Iran, Hosni Mubarak, Saddam Hussein etc.), when it overthrows popular governments, then yes, the West is waging war. Resisting against such criminal acts would be a just fight. There have been popular rebellions and revolutions against such criminal acts in other parts of the world, especially Latin America. Those are all just wars because the people there are fighting against injustice.

However, what the terrorists are doing is not fighting justly. They are committing injustice. But it is also a well-known fact that terrorism is correlated with western interventions in the Muslim world, such as the Iraq war. Before the Iraq war, there was no Al-Qaeda in Iraq and certainly there was no ISIS.

What we need to recognize is that extremists in the West are continuously driving western countries into illegal and unjust wars in other parts of the world. There are extremists on both sides. They all need to be stopped. The Christian fundamentalists who support hawkish leaders need to be stopped just as much as ISIS needs to be stopped.

    • Quran 5:33 was revealed in relation to some murderers and rapists. The punishment mentioned is in relation to criminals in COURT:

    • Ken,
Why do you repeat David’s nonsense?
That verse in Quran is directed to muslims, yet Allah (sw) is telling us where it’s said first.
Also, that verse is in Torah. Quran, which is the words and the knowledge of Allah(sw), knows where that vesre has been revealed . We don’t care for the your canonical bible done by Rabbis and Monks. Quran keeps condemning hiding verses from Torah and Injeel.
Also, verse 33 in surah 5 is the very verse that we use to confront radiclas. You can read that in any book in Fiqh to see that. That verse is categorized under hudood, which means what the Islamic government does if a muslim did that act. Those books of Fiqh were written before your invasion to America even, and before you statred killing its native people to preach your gosepl about “love”!
In fact, if you applied that verse in your country, you wouldn’t have statistics showing that those people who died in your country by gun fire are more than those who died by drugs, AIDS, and terrorists companied .

I’ve told you before, the clown’s school is just for idiots. It has nothing to do with real arguments.

  3. I am glad that most Muslims in the world are peaceful, and don’t try to take the law (Sharia) into their own hands, and don’t do what those radical Jihadist Muslims did in London or Manchester or Paris, or 9-11-2001 , etc. like Isis / Isil / Da’esh and Al Qaedah and Hamas does nor what the recent terrorists did in England.

What I have understood that what most Muslims and most Muslim scholars today are saying in response to the Jihadism-terrorism is this: In light of most of the verses that Paul Williams read, both from the Qur’an and Hadith, and
since they don’t have authority to do that (take the law into their own hands, do terror, make war, kill civilians, and worst of all – to commit suicide bombings), because there is no true Islamic government or state, since there is no true Caliph, according to doctrinal Muslims – since there has not been an official Caliph since the Ottoman Empire (abolished in 1924 by Mustapha Kemal Ataturk, founder of modern Turkey), no one is authorized to do the terrorism that modern radical Jihadists do, – although they claim they are doing justice and just war against the west, which to them, is making war against them.

    Have I understood correctly?

I am glad that most Muslims are peaceful and many have spoken out against taking the law into their own hands and are speaking out against making war against civilians and suicide bombings.

But still, those that do do the evil deeds, are too many.

What is the solution to those?

    • There is no one solution. It is a complex situation with multiple factors. One factor is western intervention. Another factor is a lack of education. A lack of education breeds poverty. Poverty breeds crime.

Yes this is what true Islamic believer believe. They can only permitted to kill in a formal war commanded by true Islamic government and for a good cause.

Islam against any sort of destruction, oppression and terrorism rather it encourages equity and justice amidst both Muslims and non-Muslims.

      God says:

Verily, Allâh enjoins Al -Adl الْعَدْ (i.e. justice) and Al-Ihsân الْإِحْسَانِ(good conduct), and giving إِيتَاءِ (help) to kith and kin: and forbids Al-Fahshâ’الْفَحْشَاءِ (i.e all evil deeds, e.g. illegal sexual acts, disobedience of parents, polytheism, to tell lies, to give false witness, to kill a life without right, etc.), and Al-Munkar الْمُنكَرِ (i.e all that is prohibited by Islâmic law), and Al-Baghy الْبَغْيِ ۚ (i.e. all kinds of oppression), He admonishes you, that you may take heed. (Nahl 16:90)

//But still, those that do do the evil deeds, are too many.//

These people are pure criminals most likely they are marginalized by the western society they live in. They are not even knowledgeable in religion and represent very very tiny minority. This is the result of much bigger Evil deeds: the western colonialism, occupation, intervention by military force, bombing innocent civilians. Terror breed terror.

    • Congressman Ron Paul at his best!!

I met him once in my home city at one of his campaign events, shook hands, and asked him about his views on Islam and Muslims. He said that he has knew many Muslim Doctors and professionals and they are all good people who practice a good religion. There wasn’t time for him to say much more, as there were others waiting to speak to him, but that alone was comforting to hear from him.

  4. And since Paul Willaims has made it clear that in the correct circumstances Muslims should be in submission to the most holy directive to kill defined others-and if Islam is held to be a ‘Beautiful Religion’ then any killing legitimised by it will not only be a rewarding beauty and joy for the obediant to behold but above all, to the perfect Beholder too. And whoever said ‘looks are only skin deep’?
