Jesus Is Not God Bible Verses

Nearly all Christians believe Jesus was and is God. That is what the institutional church has always taught. Christians professedly rely strongly on the Bible for this belief. Yet there is not a single Bible verse which states unequivocally, “Jesus is God,” or the like. Moreover, the New Testament (NT) gospels have no statement by Jesus in which he identifies himself as God. In fact, there are many Bible verses which indicate Jesus cannot be God by declaring that only the Father is God or by distinguishing Jesus from God. Three irrefutable texts in the NT declare both of these points.

First, and foremost, is one of Jesus’ sayings recorded only in the Gospel of John. The setting is the Last Supper, right before he was arrested and crucified. He prayed for his disciples, saying, “Father,… This is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent” (John 17.3). So, Jesus tells the Father that he is “the only true God” and then distinguishes himself from that one God. Both of these points clearly indicate that Jesus himself cannot also be God.

Two other times the Johannine Jesus identified the Father as the only God. Earlier, he told his Jewish opponents that the Father is “the one and only God” (John 5.44). And again, at the Last Supper, Jesus distinguished himself from this one and only God by commanding his disciples, “believe in God, believe also in Me” (14.1).

The other two NT passages which irrefutably establish that only the Father is God and distinguish Jesus from God are in Paul’s letters. He writes to the church at Corinth, “There is no God but one…. yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom are all things, and we exist for Him; and one Lord, Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we exist through Him” (1 Corinthians 8.4, 6). Here, Paul clearly declares that for Christians there is one God, who is the Father, and there is no other God, so that Jesus is not God.

Many traditionalist scholars cite this passage to support that Jesus preexisted, thus concluding that he was God. Yet in doing so, they often ignore its double declaration that there is only one God, who is the Father. Even if Jesus did preexist, this does not prove that he was God. Second Temple Judaism regarded that some righteous men preexisted, and Jews did not conclude that such preexistence indicated that they actually were gods.

The third irrefutable NT text which establishes that there is one God, who is the Father, and distinguishes Jesus from this one God is in Paul’s Ephesians letter. He writes, “There is one body and one Spirit, just as also you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all who is over all and through all and in all” (Eph 4.4-6). Here, Paul implicitly identifies Jesus as “one Lord” and distinguishes him from the “one God,” whom he unequivocally identifies as “the Father.” Paul is a unique author of NT literature in that he exclusively and consistently calls Jesus “Lord” and the Father “God.” So, Paul never calls Jesus “God.”

Thus, three NT passages—John 17.3; 1 Corinthians 8.4, 6; and Ephesians 4.4-6— establish without any doubt that only the Father is God, so that Jesus cannot be God.

One of many other NT passages which confirm that Jesus is not God is his encounter with the rich young ruler. This man sincerely asked Jesus, “‘Good Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?’ And Jesus said to him, ‘Why do you call Me good? No one is good except God alone’” (Mark 10.17-18/Luke 18.18-19; cf. Matthew 19.16-17). Many Christians have been confused by this saying, thinking Jesus implies that he himself is not good. Yet the NT often declares that Jesus was such a righteous man that he never sinned (Acts 3.14; 2 Corinthians 5.21; Hebrews 4.15; 7.26; 2 Peter 2.22).

Then what did Jesus mean when he said, “no one is good but God alone”? In the OT, Judaism, and especially Hellenistic theism, only the one God was considered “good” in an absolute sense. This must be what Jesus meant here. Humans were called “good” only in a derived sense, with God being recognized as the Source of goodness.

Another text that implicitly has Jesus indicating he is not God is Mark 12.28-34. It tells of a scribe asking Jesus about what is the greatest commandment. Jesus answered by quoting the Shema, saying, “The first is, ‘Hear, O Israel; the Lord our God, the Lord is one.’” That is how any good Jew would answer, that God is numerically one. We read next, “Then the scribe said to him, ‘You are right, Teacher; you have truly said that “he is one, and besides him there is no other.”‘” So, the man made clear that Jesus said God is numerically one. That was so important since it is what distinguished Hebrews/Jews from the religiously polytheistic nations. We soon read, “When Jesus saw that he answered wisely, he said to him, ‘You are not far from the kingdom of God.’” So, Jesus clearly accepted the man’s explanation of the Shema, that God is numerically “one.”Many NT passages show that Jesus was distinct from God. For instance, the NT often declares that God sent Jesus, God was with Jesus in his mission, and God raised Jesus from the dead. Peter preached about “Jesus of Nazareth, a man attested to you by God with miracles and wonders and signs which God performed through Him in your midst” (Acts 2.22). Peter later proclaimed about “Jesus of Nazareth, how God anointed Him with the Holy Spirit and with power, and how He went about doing good, and healing all who were oppressed by the devil; for God was with Him” (10.38). This is so self-explanatory, that Jesus is distinguished from God, and God empowers Jesus.

In the salutations of all ten of Paul’s NT letters he he does three things: (1) identifies God as the Father, (2) distinguishes God from Jesus, and (3) never mentions the Holy Spirit. Paul typically writes, “Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.” This evidence affirms that only the Father is God and that Jesus is not God. Moreover, a Trinitarian is likely to ask, “Why no mention of the Holy Spirit.”

Furthermore, the Bible contains several verses which state unambiguously that Jesus had a God, and most of them say that God is the Father. For example, when Jesus hung upon the cross he quoted Psalm 22.1, crying out to the Father, “MY GOD, MY GOD, WHY HAVE YOU FORSAKEN ME” (Matthew 27.46/Mark 15.34). And the day Jesus was resurrected, he said to Mary Magdalene, “I ascend to My Father and your Father, and My God and your God” (John 20.17). Plus, three times the Apostle Paul writes about “the God and Father of our/the Lord Jesus (Christ)” (Romans 15.6; 2 Corinthians 1.3; 11.31; cf. Ephesians 1.17). Finally, the heavenly Jesus is quoted five times saying, “My God” (Revelation 3.2, 12; cf. 1.6).

The one verse that caused this author to first question whether Jesus is God is Jesus’ saying in his Olivet Discourse about the time of his return. He said, “But of that day and/or hour no one knows, not even the angels of/in heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone” (Matthew 24.36/Mark 13.32). Since Jesus did not know the time of his return, he could not have been God. Yet Jesus reveals that God (the Father) did know it. Orthodox Christian theology has always insisted that God is omniscient, knowing everything, including everything about the future. Accordingly, Jesus could not have been God.

    • I bet the following are some of the gymnastics we definitely will be witnessing (in this post): 1. The passage from Mark 10 is an allusion to some ‘wonderful mid-eastern way of speaking’! By using it, Jesus is actually saying the opposite of what the passage actually says.
      2. Jesus emptied himself and as a result TEMPORARILY lost his omnipotence. He of course was God (even while in that state of ignorance).
      3. The phrases “only true God” and “only God” are just titles for the Father. Jesus is as well ‘the only true God’. Never mind the logical contradiction. No one can understand the nature of God you know.
4.There is a hierarchy (in function) within the Godhead. The Father is the GOD of Jesus (who is himself the one and only God) because he assigned “functional superiority” to himself. Jesus is still an equal of the Father ONTOLOGICALLY. Again, the contradiction is because we cannot understand the nature of God.

It sometimes shocks me to think that I once believed all of this. I can only thank Allah that Islam has eliminated the need for us to be this stupid. Alhamdulillah indeed.

    • John 17:3 is completely consistent with trinitarian thought. I’m not sure what your point is? There is a functional hierarchy in the Godhead- the Father sends and the Son goes, ergo, verse 3.

Again, your attempted interpretation doesn’t fit within the context. Only two verses later Jesus asks to return to glory in eternity past.

      Ok, checkmate. Next!!

This clearly indicates that Jesus himself cannot also be God.

To confirm this reading Jesus says elsewhere that he, like us, has a God:

‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’
      John 20:17

    • I didn’t overlook anything. Within the functional hierarchy of the incarnation, that is completely consistent. Any way you slice it, this borrowed argument you rely upon is nothing more than a straw man.

In fact, you over look the key point, namely, that only two verses later Jesus asks to return to glory, the glory they shared before the world began. How does that fit with your narrative of the text?

What does it mean? I say; Erasmus can’t be man to himself, what will you understand I said? It is illogical statement.

God is always God and NOTHING can prevent Him from being a God. But Jesus cant be God to himself is illogical statement. Does God need some other God in other to be God? It is idolatry and polytheism to believe someone who is God(Jesus) can’t be God to himself. It is just like idol worshipers saying their lesser gods can’t be God to themselves unless another God is added.

To Jesus in the flesh the Father is the one true God.

After all what was the purpose of the incarnation otherwise? For Jesus to become an atheist or a self-worshipper?

” “There is one body and one Spirit, just as also you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all who is over all and through all and in all””

If there is only one Lord then the Lord of the OT must be numerically identical with the Lord of the NT, if not as a person then as a being. Otherwise we have two Lords.

The Unitarians have to have 2 Lords to keep their one God. So they are actually polytheists.

No wonder we have so many incarnated Gods like Haile Selaissie, Sai Baba, cow gods, monkey gods, elephant gods etc. To Erasmus, incarnation is a possibility hence so many gods.

If Jesus is saying that he is not good then he cannot claim to be without sin.

Precisely. Paul Williams wants us to believe that Jesus was denying that he was good in Mark 10 despite the fact that right the way through the NT we seei him described with terms like sinless, holy, undefiled, unblemished and spotless, separated from sinners, good shepard and high priest.

The Bible said God does not change. You are saying the Father is not be Jesus’s God before incarnation. That means there is a change in what, who and how God is.”

No, it’s a change in relation, not a change in being.

Which Lord is in the following verses taken from Acts 4?:

24And when they heard that, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and said, Lord, thou art God, which hast made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all that in them is:

26The kings of the earth stood up, and the rulers were gathered together against the Lord, and against his Christ.

27For of a truth against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, both Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles, and the people of Israel, were gathered together, 28For to do whatsoever thy hand and thy counsel determined before to be done. 29And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word, 30By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus.

As there is only one Lord we must conclude that the Lord of Acts 4 is generically identical with the Lord of 1 Cor 8 v6, i.e that they are one and the same creator God.

The final proof, which is just the cream on the cake, is that 1 Cor 8 v 6 attributes creative power to both God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ:

6But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.

This agrees perfectly with Acts 4.

  7. @ Paul Williams,
Nice post!!! Its good to see all those verses together, each of which clearly distinguishes Jesus from God. When one sees them altogether it makes a powerful point.

Paul said: “I was a Trinitarian for 22 years before reading myself out of it in the Bible.” I think that is a good way of putting it. Once one actually READS what the words in the scriptures actually say without reading Christian Dogma into the text, it becomes much more easy to see the truth of the matter and leave Trinitarianism.

For instance the OT Shema Yisroel, and the NT Jesus are both teaching the same thing that the Qur’an is teaching – “God is ONE” and there is no room for Trinity in that equation.

    • I don’t know what this “Paul” was reading but it wasn’t the Bible… There are just too many passages that show the plurality of the Godhead, where God is one in one sense, and yet more than one in another sense. To give such a lame excuse as you said above shows either how ignorant this Paul is, or that he is lying. If PAUL can say with a straight face that he has read through all the Bible, OT and NT and hasn’t seen ANY context of Trinitarian passages then all I can say is Paul you are a liar and may God have mercy on your soul. It is a shame to have people misrepresent what the Bible clearly and plainly teaches and supress the truth in unrighteousness.

Don’t even get me started on passages showing God’s plurality, I won’t waste my time as I’ve done before because this Paul character only has an agenda to try to hide people from God’s truth, and thank God Paul’s arguments make him look foolish and expose his true agenda. And praise God that thanks to Paul’s ridiculous youtube videos, people are leaving islam. Either way actually its a lost cause for islam.

And just to add the cherry on the cake, your allah is the one who spoke of the Trinity, so if your saying there is nothing to do with Trinity in the Bible than you obviously know more than allah and so you should be correcting your so called “god” because clearly even he didn’t understand what Christians believe. As I said, islam is a lost cause but what can you do when you got the blind following the blind…

So, Tawhid means Only one God.

I have shown you Tawhid in both Quran and the Bible.

Trinity means 3 persons one God. Tri means 3.

Show us Trinity(3 Persons 1 God) in the Bible. In one verse like the above not from Genesis to Revelation as Bob the Builder would like us to believe. You do not have to read the whole Bible to understand God is one and only. It is just a simple one verse and many of them. If we follow Bob the builders logic to read the whole Bible before you can see Trinity, then Idol worshipers can also find their idol worship in the Bible.

Idol worshipers can say there is an idol worship in the Bible by the Jews i.e. golden calf, so they can worship idols. We need a clear cut verses like the above that clearly said God is one and He is alone and no one else but not reading the whole Bible to come out with your preconceived ideas.

      Thanks.

You want only one verse? That’s no challenge…

Matthew 28:19  Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

But its obvious this is JESUS speaking, and giving orders for baptism in the NAME (singular) of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost. Whom we Christians know is the ONE true God.

People who seek truth actually dig into things and not try to mock and ridicule. I was hoping you’d want more in depth Biblical scripture to expound on it. But its obvious what the agenda is here so I won’t spend my time getting into it with you.

And sorry you failed, you didn’t show me the word tawheed in the quran. Let me ask you clearly, where can I find the word Tawheed? Give me chapter and verse for where the word tawheed is located.

      Thanks.

  11. Ten reasons why Jesus is not God

    1. People look like trees and walking

In the Gospel of Mark Chapter 8 says:

22 They came to Bethsaida, and some people brought a blind man and begged Jesus to touch him.23 He took the blind man by the hand and led him outside the village. When he had spit on the man’s eyes and put his hands on him, Jesus asked, “Do you see anything?” 24 He looked up and said, “I see people; they look like trees walking around.” 25 Once more Jesus put his hands on the man’s eyes. Then his eyes were opened, his sight was restored, and he saw everything clearly. 26 Jesus sent him home, saying, “Don’t even go into the village.”

The story is about a blind man getting healed by Jesus (p). The issue that firstly arises here is that if Jesus was indeed Lord and Saviour as assumed by Trinitarian’s, then how, when he began to heal the blind man did he make a mistake the first time, and accidentally made his eyesight register people as moving trees? A God can make no mistakes, it is just impossible for a God to make a mistake. God need only say and it will pop into existence. Why then did Jesus if he really is God need to perform the healing a second time in order to rectify his mistake?

    2. All Authority ‘GIVEN’

Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. (Mathew 28:18)
6 “I have manifested Your name to the men whom You have given Me out of the world. They were Yours, You gave them to Me, and they have kept Your word. 7 Now they have known that all things which You have given Me are from You. 8 For I have given to them the words which You have given Me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came forth from You; and they have believed that You sent Me. (John 17:6-8)

All authority has been “GIVEN” to Jesus by the Father (God)? How can Jesus be “God” if he was “GIVEN” this authority? So before Jesus was “GIVEN” this “authority”, what was he? He was nobody, what kind of God was he before he was “GIVEN” all this authority? If Jesus is co equal with the Father (God) as claimed by Trinitarian’s, why would Jesus need the Father to give him authority if he is God himself?

    3. Jesus Is Tempted

The Holy Spirit led Jesus into the desert. There the devil tempted him (Jesus). 2 After 40 days and 40 nights of going without eating, Jesus was hungry.

3 The tempter came to him. He said, “If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.” 8 Finally, the devil took Jesus to a very high mountain. He showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. 9 “If you bow down and worship me,” he said, “I will give you all of this.” 10 Jesus said to him, “Get away from me, Satan! It is written, ‘Worship the Lord your God. He is the only one you should serve.’” 11 Then the devil left Jesus. Angels came and took care of him. (Mathew 4:1-11)

Is it conceivable that an All-Mighty God can become tempted by the devil to whom God created; is God susceptible to being swayed by His own creation? If Jesus is God then there lies some issues for the Bible says:

James 1:13 When tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone.

It is so clear here that Jesus (pbuh) cannot be God, for he was tempted to do evil. And God cannot be swayed with temptation.

It says in verse 8: Finally, the devil took Jesus to a very high mountain. He showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. 9 “If you bow down and worship me,” he said, “I will give you all of this.”

God, owner of the worlds, the creator of all animate and inanimate objects, the giver of life and death, the sustainer of all. How if Jesus is God can the devil say to a God I shall give you all this, if you worship me? It just is not possible for this scene to occur if the devil was really speaking to God. It is thus self-evident that Jesus is not God for even the devil knew Jesus was not. Hence why he tempted him with such material gains.

Jesus said lastly: ‘Worship the Lord your God. He is the only one you should serve.’ Jesus made it clear that the only person that should be worshipped is God alone and no one else.

4 .The Father is greater than Jesus

‘I am going away and I am coming back to you.’ If you loved me, you would be glad that I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I. John 14:28

Jesus clearly said that the Father (God) is greater than him. Christians will argue and say: that this means that the Father is greater than Jesus in authority but not in essence. But this contradicts Matthew 28:18 where Jesus says all authority is given by the father to him. Another thing to note is, if they are all co-equal as Christians say, how can one be greater than the other?

    5. I can of mine own self do nothing

as I hear, I judge: and my judgement is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me. John 5:30

Jesus (pbuh) here says it clearly that everything he does, the miracles, forgiving the sins, is not from him but from God Almighty. He does everything by the will of God. If Jesus was God why couldn’t he do whatever he wants, since he is God? Why does HE need to listen to the Father (God) to be granted permission?

    6. Not my Doctrine

And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine. (Mathew 7:28)

And they were astonished at his doctrine: for he taught them as one that had authority, and not as the scribes. ( Mark 1:22)

Jesus answered them, and said the following: My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me. He means God almighty. (John 7:16)
So as you see it is clear that Jesus (pbuh) was a prophet of God almighty. The doctrine Jesus taught, which is the Gospel, is not his, but it belongs to the one who sent him, in other words God. If he was God, wouldn’t he be saying this Gospel is my own words, I am God?

    7. Is Jesus shy to say ‘I AM GOD?’

You won’t find one verse in the whole Bible where Jesus says “I am God”, Why is that? If Jesus is God, why would he not declare that he is God? Is he shy to say he is God? I mean there are so many passages in the Old Testament where God almighty makes himself clear that he is God, why hasn’t Jesus once said “I am God”? Can I call someone King if he never declared himself to be a King? I am going to show 10 verses where God says he is God in Old Testament:

    (A) Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me. (Isaiah 46:9)

    (B) Yet I am the Lord thy Godfrom the land of Egypt, and thou shalt know no god but me: for there is no saviour beside me. (Hosea 13:4)

    (C) I am the LORD, and there is no other; apart from me there is no God. I will strengthen you, though you have not acknowledged me. Isaiah 45:5)

    (D) And God said to him, “I am God Almighty; be fruitful and increase in number. A nation and a community of nations will come from you, and kings will be among your descendants. (Genesis 35:11)

    (E) “I have heard the grumbling of the Israelites. Tell them, ‘At twilight you will eat meat, and in the morning you will be filled with bread. Then you will know that “I am the LORD your God.‘(Exodus 16:12)

    (F) “I am God, the God of your father,” he said. “Do not be afraid to go down to Egypt, for I will make you into a great nation there. (Genesis 46:3)

    (G) “I am the LORD, the God of all mankind.” Is anything too hard for me? (Jeremiah 32:27)

    (H) And they shall recompense your lewdness upon you, and ye shall bear the sins of your idols: and ye shall know that I am the Lord GOD.(Ezekiel 23:49)

    (I) Keep my Sabbaths holy, that they may be a sign between us. Then you will know that “I am the LORD your God.” (Ezekiel 20:20)

    (J) “So My hand will be against the prophets who see false visions and utter lying divinations. They will have no place in the council of My people, nor will they be written down in the register of the house of Israel, nor will they enter the land of Israel, that you may know that I am the Lord GOD. (Ezekiel 13:9)

    8. God alone is good

As Jesus started on his way, a man ran up to him and fell on his knees before him. “Good teacher,” he asked, “what must I do to inherit eternal life?”

18 “Why do you call me good?” Jesus answered. “No one is good—except God alone. (Mark 10:17-18)

In the above verse a man runs up to Jesus and says “Good teacher” Jesus replies back and says “why do you call me good”? Jesus answered him and said “no one is good except God alone”. If he was really God, why would he differentiate himself, why would he say God ALONE is good? He is making himself clear that God alone is perfect and no one else, not even himself.

    9. Jesus don’t know the hour

“But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.

It is sufficient to say that God alone knows all matters, and that He is aware of all of which we conceal and reveal. However, if Jesus is really God incarnate in flesh, how is it that he is unaware of the time of the coming hour? How is he unable to deduce when the end of time shall come? So, we can say that he doesn’t know thus not making him all-knowing which is an essential attribute of God’s. How can one claim Jesus is God when lacks basic attributes to even be considered a God? Ever asked yourself that question, that if Jesus is actually a part of a three and these are all co-equal how can the son not know the answer?

    10. Jesus worshipped God

Jesus (pbuh) bowing down and worshipping God the Father:

    (A) Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, “My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will.” (Mathew 26:39)

    (B) He went away a second time and prayed, “My Father,if it is not possible for this cup to be taken away unless I drink it, may your will be done.” (Mathew 26:42)

    (C) Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed. (Mark 1:35)

    (D) They went to a place called Gethsemane, and Jesus said to his disciples, “Sit here while I pray.” (Mark 14:32)

    (E) Going a little farther, he fell to the ground and prayedthat if possible the hour might pass from him. (Mark 14:35)

    (F) One of those days Jesus went out to a mountainside to pray, and spent the night praying to God. (Luke 6:12)

    (G) He withdrew about a stone’s throw beyond them, knelt down and prayed. (Luke 22:41)

    (H) And being in anguish, he prayed more earnestly, and his sweat was like drops of blood falling to the ground. (Luke 22:44)

Did Jesus just pray to himself? And why did he do this? A God is in no need of peoples prayer, rather people are in need of the prayer. So, who exactly is the creator worshipping?

Jesus says: But the hour comes, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth. (John 4:23)

Jesus said to him, “Away from me, Satan! For it is written: “Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.’ (Mathew 4:10)

If Jesus said ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only’, why do Trinitrian’s continue to worship Jesus? After reading through all of this it is just so obvious that Jesus cannot be God. If you continue to worship the creation rather than the creator you will only be bringing disaster in to your lives for you are neglecting the verses that argue on the contrary to the popular belief. O people, worship your Lord who is One, who resembles not the creation and one who cannot be contained in a particular direction nor contained within a specific place. God is far beyond any human conception.

  12. Jesus is a sign of God’s power, where God showed people that He could create Jesus without a father, as He created Adam without any parents. Similarly, just as God created Adam with no father or mother, Jesus’ birth was from mother with no father. All that is needed for God for something to happen is to say “Be” and it is; for God is capable of all things. Adam was created when God said, “Be,” and he to be without a father or a mother. And so was Jesus created by the Word of God. If the unusual birth of Jesus makes him divine, then Adam deserves more of that divinity because Jesus at least had one parent, while Adam had none. As Adam is not divine, so is Jesus not divine, but both are humble servants of God.
[ Verily, Jesus is as Adam in the sight of God. He created him of dust: He then said to him, “Be” – and he was ] [ The Quran 3 : 59 ]

Jesus was born miraculously by the command of God, the same command that had brought Adam into being with neither a father nor a mother.
its simply mean that He Who created Adam without a father or a mother is able to create Jesus, as well, without a father. If the claim is made that`Jesus is God’s son because he was created without a father, then the same claim befits Adam even more. However, since such a claim regarding Adam is obviously false, then making the same claim about Jesus is even more false. And this is a comparison of one remarkable thing with another more remarkable, so that it convinces the disputer and establishes itself in one’s mind more effectively. He created him, Adam, that is, his form, of dust, then said He to him, ‘Be,’, a human being, and he was; similarly, He said to Jesus, ‘Be’ – without a father – and he was.

  13. Please do remember that there are also lots of Christians who would never believe that Jesus would be God, because they belief the Holy Scriptures which are clear on all levels that there is only One true God, The God of Israel, Who is the God of Abraham, Jacob, Isaac, Jesus and his disciples.

God Himself declares who Jesus is and Jesus also states on several occasions that he can not do anything without God Who is grater than him, and Who we should worship as our God.

Very pleased to hear, even when it took you 22 years before reading yourself out of the false teaching of Trinity, that you came to accept that Jesus is the sent one from God, a prophet given to mankind to show to them that man is able to keep to God’s commandments and to stay faithful to his Creator.

The koranic deity talks with dust and other inanimate things?

Did he talk to the egg in Mary’s womb?

“He then said to him, “Be” – and he was ] [ The Quran 3 : 59 ]”

But how can he communicate with him before he has made him?

    When did this happen?

“And so was Jesus created by the Word of God. If the unusual birth of Jesus makes him divine, then Adam deserves more of that divinity because Jesus at least had one parent, while Adam had none”

But the word is the creative purpose and design of God, according to Shaad, That would seem to precede the act of creation would it not?

It can’t be both can it?

  16. But if the word is the creative purpose and plan of God, according to Shaad, then all things must have been created by the Word of God. Not just a few human beings without one or more parents.
