Muslims take their religion from their very core source that have been preserved to our day – the Qur’an and Sunnah – and nobody can change nor distort their anti-racism message and that all of humanity originated from Adam (as well as that freeing slaves is one of the best deeds a Muslim can make, and it’s literally one of the prescribed ways of distributing the charity-tax zakat Q.9:60). If a later Muslim supposedly contradicts that then it has no bearing on the message.

Who knows? Most of the traditions about him were written well after he died. We simply cannot know whether the things that muslims believe he said were actually said by him. Either way, whoever said those words attributed to mohammed in the article was an idiot – it makes no sense for the reasons already mentioned.

That’s a gross lie that only shows your deep ignorance, hadiths were written down in his very life and after, for example the Sahifah of Hammam ibn Munabbih which was written by a student of the companion Abu Hurayrah, which has been published and you can look it up (over 90 hadiths in it – of a total of 140 or so – are already contained in the two Sahihs and the rest of the six canonical books with different narrations as well as this narration Abu Hurayrah -> Hammam b. Munabbih)

The Prophet’s statement shows that no one has superiority over another based on their ethnicity. Rather, superiority in God’s eye is based on piety. So it’s not whether you’re Arab or non-Arab, black or white, it is whether you are pious before God. This was a revolutionary concept which contradicted the Biblical standards of racism.

Also, please show me the original copies of these supposed in the moment hadith – they don’t exist. Even worse hadith inflation is a huge problem for islam – as you admit, the traditions went from 90 to 140 traditions, up to a whopping 4000-9000 in the later hadith collections.

I think that you have completely missed the most significant point of Lincoln’s statement – through reason, and christian compassion, he took his country into a brutal civil war to free a group of human beings he believed to be inferior.

Even when the northern states were debating the amendment to abolish slavery, many of those opposed to it did so on the basis of the Bible. Mark Twain famously once famously said:
“There was no place in the land where the seeker could not find some small budding sign of pity for the slave. No place in all the land but one – the pulpit. It yielded last; it always does. It fought a strong and stubborn fight, and then did what it always does, joined the procession – at the tail end. Slavery fell.
