Yesterday I visited the The Guildhall Art Gallery which houses the art collection of the City of London. One section exhibits art illustrating the subject of love in Victorian England, and I was struck by the similarities between relationships in traditional Christian England and Islamic values. This, of course, gives the lie to Islamophobes (Sky News/Fox News etc, ad nauseum) who like to portray Islam as something alien to Western values. Often the opposite is the case. It is the militant secular liberals who are forcing alien values on a browbeaten population.
