Who really cares? Love is more than just a phrase, it is shown through actions and conduct such as the way we treat each other.
John 15:9 As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you… 12 My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. 13 Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. 14 You are my friends if you do what I command.
it is odd – the Bible talks of God’s love for the world but not it seems of Jesus’s love for the world. And as love incarnate (“God is love”) it is doubly odd he never says I love you to anyone, at all.
