    I also wish that I had a little bit more context to this hadith, found it in the book by Imam An-Nawawi (r) – Gardens of the Righteous.

    Jarir bin ‘Abdullah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:

    Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) asked me on the occasion of the Farewell Pilgrimage to tell the people to keep silent, then he (ﷺ) said, “Do not revert to disbelief after me, chopping the heads of one another.” [Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

  2. A reminder for us all i think as well is not lose our own in the face of both labour and perhaps even more so, apathy and the need for distractions.
