The Anglican Journal reports today,
‘A Toronto church [part of the Anglican church] now offers a eucharist for LGBT people. At next week’s queer Eucharist, Primate Fred Hiltz is slated to deliver a sermon on the Primates’ Meeting last month in Canterbury.’
‘The Rev. Samantha Caravan, assisted by Canon Douglas Graydon, presides at a queer Eucharist in the church of St. John’s West Toronto.’
This is wrong on so many levels. But it reflects where much of the Christian church is heading.

On another note what exactly is a ‘queer Eucharist’ and what is the difference between it and a run of the mill body and blood affair?
Will this be appearing in an updated edition of the Book of Common Prayer?

Don’t get me wrong I think that the LGBTQ community should be able to worship freely without judgement from others. I also admire that this church is very open to welcoming LGBTQ people into their community with open arms whereas others would see them with only disdain. Their hearts are in the right place and they should be commended for that.

Trying to appeal to the masses. But the masses aren’t interested in the church regardless of their stance on LGBTQ while this will only alienate some of the faithful and push them out of the church.
End product = More folk leave the church
