Muslims believe that we were all created knowing God which they call the [Fitra] and the messengers were sent to humanity or every nation to remind them of the One God. Islam teaches that God sent his messengers to every nation since man stepped on Earth.

“For We assuredly sent amongst every People a messenger, (with the Command), “Serve Allah, and eschew Evil”: of the People were some whom Allah guided, and some on whom error became inevitably (established). So travel through the earth, and see what was the end of those who denied (the Truth).” – Quran 16:36

Fitra, or fitrah (Arabic: فطرة / ALA-LC: fiṭrah), is an Arabic word that has no exact English equivalent although it has been translated as ‘primordial human nature’, and as “instinct” or common sense (‘urf)
