Isn’t Godwin, since his humiliation, now also a humble Christian? Isn’t being humbled a great medicine for the soul? Fortunate he was to receive such a strong dose. We humans should reflect on our words and actions and feel the inevitable humiliation that follows from almost everything we say or do. If we don’t feel it, we need to ask ourselves why we don’t. The danger of arrogance affects all humans. All is never what it appears to be.
