Churchill’s enemy was Germany, not just “Nazi Germany”. In an attitude of uncommon stupidity, he consistently refused to make alliances with anti-Nazi Germans.
And I know of no evidence that Nazi Germany ever posed a real threat to England. Hitler always sought, strived and expected to make peace with England. In his racist view, the English were white aryans just like the Germans.
