    I agree with the comment by Xeromino74 and Paul. We need to use common sense.

    This is one of the best comments I have read on the historical Jesus.

    Even if the behaviors and reactions of followers of Jesus werw as described (which is a big if and is problematic because of the many contradictions in between each gospel) but even assuming some narrative, even then makes no sense that the Preacher Jesus would have preached such doctrines….no sense at all.

  3. In the oldest traditions Jesus and his followers are shocked by the development that leads to the crucifixion event. I’m not so sure about point c. It’s speculative because it’s uncertain what happened, did they return to Galilee or not, who saw Jesus and where etc.
