Jonathan is a nice and clever gentleman, I’d call him a brethren in faith, it’s quite unfortunate for him has to perform such an impossible task: defending the trinity.
Nothing from the previous scripture where God revealed Himself as being triplets of persons in the godhead. No fact could be more firmly established whether in the holy Qur’an or in the earlier scriptures – that God is One, اللهُ اَحَـدٌ /Allahu Ahad – This matter is indisputable.
Brother Shabbir, although always an exceptional speaker, clearly got an easier task to do.
@ Eric, I too got the impression that Jonathan is a nice guy however I’m concerned at his influences and his borrowing from the more unsavoury and unscholarly Christian missionaries/bigots out there:
Jonathan says trinitarians think God consists of 1 “What” and 3 “Who’s”. That is actually not true.
They have to introduce a fourth “Who” for the occasions when the “triune” God has to speak in the Bible as “I” or is referred to as “he/him”.
e.g. “To you it was shown that you might know that YAHWEH, He is God; there is no other besides Him.” Deuteronomy 4:35
