Hmmmm… It seems that way, it is for passages like this that i am more convinced by the Qur’anic depiction of Jesus as a prophet and expounder of Torah rather than hypostatic, i.e both God and man.
With that being said Jesus (pbuh) was inadvertantly the greatest expounder of monotheism the world has ever seen.
Next to Mohammad (pbuh) of course 🙂
