  1. a Christian friend (who shall remain anonymous) comments on the video:

    My goodness, never realised it was such a guttural language!

    (1) Very clever video!
    (2) It is right to point out there are difficult things in the Bible.
    (3) Some/all of those may be explained away, but…
    (4) if we do that with the Bible we must be open minded to do that with the Qur’an too.
    (5) And that’s where the hard work must begin!

  3. If someone is going to accuse Islam as violent. Certainly not it won’t be Christians.

    Why?
    Their scripture is more violent than The Quran and they used their scripture to exterminate and annihilate those who do not want to share their believe and continue to do it today, despite freedom of religion, rule of law and constitution slapped on them(Christians) by the liberals, secularists, atheists, agnostic, moderate Christians who fought them(fundamental Christians) and won the battle.

    No body but Allah showed Muslims freedom of religion, constitution(Allah’s law) and the rule of law to live with non Muslims and the evidence is there in the middle east, Iran and Muslims majority countries that has indigenous native Christians, Jews and others still living with Muslims, unlike Europe and USA who do not have Muslims until freedom of religion and had to force convert the slaves from Africa, just to segregate their Churches and burn a cross to hang them(blacks) and kill Roman Catholics and Mormons are recently as in the 20th century until war was declared on KKK.

    Thanks.

  5. But in sexual issues Islam is much more problematic than the Bible and especially Christianity. The prophet’s life was just about sex. He didn’t stop his whole life. One woman after the other every night. He had around 10 wifes.
    As a Muslim I always felt so uncomfortable about this. Why does a prophet need so much sex? And why was he so reckless in choosing his women like in the cases of Aisha, Zaynab and Safiyya?

  7. Mehmet,

    Your assertion that “in sexual issues Islam is much more problematic than the Bible” couldn’t be further from the truth.

    Please see the following article by Abdul Hakim Murad (Timothy Winter) as an introduction to what traditional Islam teaches about gender, sex and relationships:

    http://www.masud.co.uk/ISLAM/ahm/gender.htm

    Any true faith must be in harmony with mankind’s primal disposition and sexuality is no different – the current consensus from evolutionary biology and behavioral psychology suggests that men are hardwired to desire a multitude of sexual partners. It is a fact that polygamy is likely a trait universal and unavoidable, the only difference between Islam and Pauline Christianity is that the former doesn’t pretend it doesn’t exist amongst its followers.

    • er dude…there are a number of reasons given in the Quran why he created us:

      he created us to worship him;

      he created peoples and nations so that they may know each other;

      he created man and woman in marriage,

      ‘that you may dwell in tranquility with them, and He has put love and mercy between your hearts. Undoubtedly in these are signs for those who reflect.” [Noble Quran 30:21]

      etc etc

      One of the names of God is Al-Wadud – The Loving – see 11:90, 85:14

      Countless times he calls himself Al-Ghafur – The Much-Forgiving – see 2:173, 8:69, 16:110, 41:32

      Are you sure you were really a Muslim?

      Your comments only lead to the opposite of what you claim.

    I say;
    May be you do not know how to read or do not read the Bible well as do many Christians but will attack Muslims

    According to the Bible

    Prophet David have been sleeping with peoples wives.

    Prophet Abraham have been having sex with his slave girl and have multiple women

    A prophet slept with his daughters(incest)

    Prophet Jesus supported prophet Abraham to sleep with his slave girl by giving a command for a slave to serve his or her master.

    Jesus said “My enemy who will not allow me to rule him, bring him in front of me and murder him in cold blood”

    Any one who leaves Jesus’s religion must be killed. etc.

    I have more for you. How can the above and many more not be problematic for you and not problematic for the world? Because you have a blind eye and cannot see, hear or listen.

    Thanks.

    I say;
    There is no unconditional love from Jesus as Jesus has created hell fire to burn those who do not believe he is God and 3 persons in 1. So there is no unconditional love here from Jesus. Read your Bible and understand Christianity well.

    “Except whom your Lord has given mercy, and FOR THAT He created them.” (my emphasis)

    Mehmet Can has an agenda to attack Islam.

    May God give him the strength to put goodness and truth above a priori agendas based on ideology and personal desires for various reasons.

    May God guide us all to become better.

    The sooner all overcome their agendas and desires and become closer to God, the better for them.

  12. Mr. Can, are you a christian now? I want to know where are you coming from?

    I don’t think Prophet Muhammad polygamous marriage is in any way more problematic like any other prophets of God depicted in tge Bible. Almost virtually all of them are polyagmous, Abraham, David, Moses, even Jesus himself has ever described himself in polyagmous terms which God would not do if it was a sin.

     “Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. …While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; …And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage:” (Matthew 25:1-2,5-6c,10a-c  ).

    Your slander to Prophet Muhammad is baseless. A King -Prophet like him could have taken any beautiful woman he liked or who willingly offered herself to him but he did not.  All of prophet wives  were not known for their physical beauty certainly not the kind that is flaunted in public.

    As for Prophet’s marriage

    As was customary for Arab chiefs, many were political marriages to cement alliances. Others were marriages to the widows of his companions who had fallen in combat and were in need of protection. (John L. Esposito What Everyone Needs to Know about Islam; Faith p.16 Oxfor Univ. Press)

    Far from “sex” prophet Muhammad marriage was for compassion and affording security to women. All but one of Muhammad’s wives were widows, and many of them were over the age of 40, one was 65 when they married him.

    Prophet  Muhammad was Caesar and pope in one, but he remain poor. Some narration mentions that his wives even complaints about their lack of worldly possessions. Hardly an hedonistic lifesyle. We find in many narrations that Prophet Muhammad’s daytime was spent fulfilling his prophetic mission of teaching while is nights were spent in long solitary prayers. This lifestyle was lack any signs of  sexual perversion.

    Just because somebody has more than wife it does not make that person’s life all about sex. I’d advise you to read a biography of Prophet Muhammad p so you can understand him more.

    Also, Abraham, Israel (who is believed to have wrestled with God and was blessed by God), Moses, David and Solomon all had more than one wife according to the Bible.

    These great men are heroes to Christians and Jews.

    Think deeper about matters.

  15. Guys, is “Mehmet Can” even real? I really wonder about this. He says that “Most parents love their children unconditionally”. That is the standard Christian metaphor. No Muslim views God as “a parent”. That is totally the Christian perspective. If indeed he was ever a Muslim as he claims, why does he liken Allah to “a parent”? That is just not something that a born Muslim would do. Even more interestingly though, is his name “Mehmet Can”. The Internet is full of information about a certain “Mehmet Ergun Caner” who claimed to be a “former Muslim jihadi” who “found The Lord”. He is a college professor and his claims have been proven to be lies. Check it out for yourselves on YT. Is this “former Muslim Mehmet Can” on here, with his parent-god complex also trying this strategy?
