  1. Did he just reject the Father being God?

  2. Thanks Paul. You always beat this guy. He just made it up. There is no where in the Bible does it says “No God but 1, he is Jesus”. Nooooo where Mr. Nabeel. Do you Nabeel worship a made up God?

    But there are countless places in the Bible where it clearly, unequivocally, precisely says “There is no God but 1, Yahweh is God”. Jesus prayed to Yahweh so Jesus is not Yahweh and Yahweh said He is the Only He and no one else and nothing else.

    This guy does not learn a lesson but to continue to be making up things.

    Thanks.

  3. Nabeels insistence of his new faith is always on the back of his former faith in order to appeal to his audience who are mostly right wing evangelicals. Even his creeds are defined by Islam and expressed in a similar fashion.

    When you think about it without Islam, Nabeel would not be the man he is today.

  4. Qureshi seems confused big time. His “One God” consists of 3 “He’s” at least.
    If he tried to be truthful, he could have said “There is No God but One, and It is the Divine Ousia.”

  5. Perhaps Nabeel has now become a modalist or a Oneness Pentecostalist? Either way he is expressing heresy by orthodox Christian standards

  6. That’s true Paul, Nabeel is confusing his whats with his whoes.

    A simple mistake. The idea of the Trinity (in its various incarnations) never really made sense to me. Even though there is an insistence that the tritheism is a heresy i notice that especially when Christians pray they direct their prayers to both “The Father” who is positioned in the prayer as the one in charge while Jesus is expressed as the mediator between “The Father” and the person making the prayer. Jesus in the prayer is expressed as second to “The Father” much like what Arius taught in the 4th century.

    Arianism if i might be so bold comes across as the far more natural belief of most of the Christians I have communicated with over the years, rather than the standard definitions of the Trinity that we hear about.

  7. The “trinity” seems a truly postmodern concept – flexible, mobile, modular, adaptable for any purpose intended

    You said;

    I say;
    That is true brother. If one does not fear the hell fire and wants to be rich and a celebrity, what he will do is just lie to right wing evangelical Christians that he has rejected his former Islamic faith to Christianity by seeing Jesus Christ in a dream and that is it.

    One can even decide not to convert to Christianity in the cases of Irshad Manji and Aayan Ali Hirsi but just blame everything on Islam as an ex-Muslim or a Muslim and you will get TV coverage, Seminars, help to author books against Islam, appearing on any talk shows etc. and you will be rich and a celebrity like Aayan Hirsi and Nabeel Quraish who are not Islamic scholars and not know Islam or Quranic Arabic, tafsir, science of Hadith, aqeeda, fiqh etc.

    Those celebrity liars are those who will get air time but not the real scholars of Islam like Sheikhs Jonathan Brown, Hamza Yusuf, Tim Winter(Murad), Tim Humble, Yasin, etc. who spent a lot of years learning, researching, teaching, travelling etc. and knows Islam very well and knows Arabic very well to be able to interpret the scriptures.

    The media does not like true Islam and will not spend much time on real Islamic scholars but spend a lot of time from shows to shows interviewing Aayan Ali and others who are not Muslim scholars and that is where the western media gets their Islam from. This girl is rich from no where and others like her mentor Irshad Manji is mentor to so many ladies who are now coming out speaking against Islam and they are making it.

    To learn Islam from Aayan Ali Hirsi, Irshad Manji, Nabeel Quraish and Sam Shamoun? and ignored Islamic scholars? ignore Quran, tafsir Hadiths but rely on Nabeel Quraish and David Wood interpretations who do not know Arabic?

    That is not a honest way of learning and promoting Islam to non Muslims.

    We do read, learn and quote Bible and from Christian scholars here, but not rely on any woman or man who says he/she was a Christian but now says Christian is bad and we must depend our knowledge of Christianity from them. That would have made us look lazy, hypocrites and wilfully ignorant.

    At least we are serious and we read a lot and some of us knew and learnt some Greek, and Eric is good in all the scriptural languages like Arabic, Hebrew, Aramaic and that is what every Muslim was commanded to learn even if it is going to as far as China.

    Hamza Yusuf and all Islamic scholars from the time of our prophets have to travel from place to place seeking knowledge just to be overshadowed in the western media by Aaya Ali Hirsi who has no knowledge of the Quran at all is hypocrisy and double standards by the western media.

    Thanks.
