A beautiful New Testament prayer

“God, the blessed and only Ruler, the King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone is immortal and who lives in unapproachable light, whom no one has seen or can see.  To him be honour and might forever.” (1 Timothy 6:15-16).

(Btw note Paul said that God alone is immortal.  Immortal means he does not die.  Anyone who believes that Jesus died cannot believe that Jesus is God.  Such a belief would contradict what Paul said here.  Furthermore, to say that God died is a blasphemy against God.  Who would run the world if God died?  Paul believed that God does not die.

Paul also said in that passage that God dwells in unapproachable light — that no one has seen God or can see him.  Paul knew that many thousands of people had seen Jesus.  Yet Paul said that no one has seen God, because Paul was sure that Jesus is not God.  This is why Paul went on teaching that Jesus was not God, but that he was the Christ – see Acts 9:22 and 18:5)

  1. “Who dwells in unapproachable light”

Clear evidence that God does not literally dwell in human flesh – that Jesus is literally not God.

  2. But we know from Pauline theology that the term ‘God’ was reserved for the Father.

In fact, this point is clear from the verse you cited (but did not cite(

“I charge you 14 to keep this command without spot or blame until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ, 15 which God will bring about in his own time—God, the blessed and only Ruler, the King of kings and Lord of lords, 16 who alone is immortal and who lives in unapproachable light, whom no one has seen or can see. To him be honor and might forever. Amen.”

People saw Jesus, so Jesus cannot be God according to the verse. God cannot be reserved for the Father because we have so many Fathers and God is one.

If God is reserved for the Father, it means the Son is not God, so whoever said the Son is God or God is the Son of someone is blaspheming. God is not Son to anyone and anyone who is Son/son is not God and Jesus is Son so Jesus is not God.

God is not 3 Persons because no Person can be a Person without being a being and so 3 Persons are 3 beings no matter your believe, it is a fact. Worshiping 3 beings is polytheism and/or idolatry.

Christians say, God is so Holy and humans cannot approach Him to taint His holiness but Jesus was in the womb of a woman for 9 months and was approached by men, beaten to death by men and so Jesus is not God and it is blaspheme to think so, because God cannot be beaten to death.

You are the ones who said, we should not divide your God and so do not divide Jesus and say his human nature suffered.

Christianity is man-made, hence all these inconsistencies.

    Thanks.

I’m not sure a single point you made was coherent or an honest description of Christian belief.

I’m saying the term theos, in Paul’s writings, was almost always reserved for God the Father in contexts such as these. Scholars agree. Point being, God the father is exactly everything that verse teaches without consequence to Jesus. For example, elsewhere scripture teaches that no one has seen the Father except the Son. It is entirely consistent with Christian thinking

  5. You forgot the Bible clearly teaches God is One, Only and Alone? I can provide dozens of verses to support that.

If God is reserved for the Father as you said, then the Son is not God. Saying God is Son/son to anyone is a big blaspheme.

    Thanks.

    ” who alone is immortal”

So the Son and the HS are mortal?
