John 20:17:

Jesus said, “Do not hold on to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. Go instead to my brothers and tell them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.'”

  2. So Mark, lets see if you have the balls to answer a simple question: you say you are not a Christian, so what are you?

    i) an atheist?

    ii) a pagan

    iii) a nutter?

  5. I disagree. I think it is all three!

    But let’s wait for Mark to clarify the truth of the matter.

    Yes, I as a Muslim call God Father, but not the one who gives birth to Jesus literally. By Father I mean, my creator, sustainer, guide to the right path, nourish me, protects me, loves me, etc. Yes God is Father to anyone but not Jesus alone. In the Bible there are God’s sons by tonnes to borrow from Ahmed Deedat(RA) and it is not literal but metaphorical.

    Father can be literal or metaphorical. Metaphorical Father to anyone but not Jesus alone, yes but literal Father to Jesus alone is blaspheme because God does not give birth to another God. If one does not repent from this blaspheme and dies with it, he has a question to answer to God and fire will be his abode.

    It is clear, God is not literal Father to anyone including Jesus Christ. Any one who is Son is not God. To say someone who is Son is God is a big blaspheme because God is not Son, whether, literal, generated(created), metaphorical etc. to anyone.

    What an irony? somebody who worships Son to tell me who worships the only one and alone true God of Abraham of not worshiping God.

    Thanks.

  7. What do Muslims share with Jesus? was the opening question. You then cite Jesus saying he is “ascending to my Father and your Father”.

    So, do you call Allah Father? If not, then you don’t worship the same God as Jesus.

    It seems Muslims are divided on this. Here are some comments from other Muslims about whether they can call Allah father.

    “no,ofcourse not
    god named himself 99 name (father) is not one of them”

    “Calling Allah “father” is outright disbelief.”

    Have you ever called AllahFather in the masjid? What was the reaction from other Muslims?

    Yes, God excluded the Father from the 99 names because Christians have corrupted the “Father” to mean a literal Father to Jesus alone. There is similar Father characteristics in the 99 names of Allah and Paul Williams have written several articles on that.

    Sustainer and nourisher for example in the 99 names is a Father characteristics to his children to provide them with their needs,.

    No Muslim will tell you that calling God Father metaphorically is disbelief, unless you mean literal Father like how Christian believed.

    Muslims are not divided on calling God Father metaphorically but when I say I call God Father I do not mean it is literal like how you believed God is literal Father to Jesus. Believing God is literal Father to anyone including Jesus in not only disbelief but blaspheme and punishable in the hell fire when one dies without repenting.

    I, as a Muslim is hereby calling God Father metaphorically to me and any Muslim and I dare any Muslim to challenge me.

    Mind you Mark, a Muslim can call God Father in a mosque and no one can do anything to him, except the person is ignorant like you.

    Thanks.

    You said;
    3 times in one comment you claimed this. Can you provide any citation where any Christian leader, from all of history has believed God is a literal father?

    I say;
    Can you provide any citation where any Christian(Trinitarian) leader, from all of history has believed God is metaphorical Father to all of us including a metaphorical Father to Jesus and the Jesus is not the only begotten or unique son of God?

    Father can be expressed as either metaphorical or literal and that is it. So if God a Father of Jesus metaphorical? Show me a Trinitarian Christian who believed God is a metaphorical Father to Jesus? If you do not have that proof, then the Father in the Trinitarian concept of God becomes literal and it is blaspheme punishable by hell fire until the person repents from the sin before death.

    Thanks.
