I didn’t buy this but its a translation of Harry Potter into ancient Greek!
I already have this book but it’s an essential reference work. The best of its kind.
This book documents the diverse and competing Christianities in the early church. Very readable.
I bought this book. Pretty advanced stuff but utterly fascinating. Not cheap at £47.99 (!)
I was surprised to see there is now an abridged paperback version of Raymond Brown’s great work. It’s about half the size of the original. Tempted, but I didn’t buy it.

Good to know you recommend Charles Freeman’s book. I have been searching around for christian history and was a little bit unsure about it.
Yesterday i bought a book entitled The first thousand years; a global history of Christianity by Robert Louis Wilken.
Do you recognize his name?
