The Holy Martyrs of Libya by Nikola Saric, a Serbian artist in Germany. The modern icon depicts the beheading of 21 Christians in Libya at the hands of ISIS. Notice how the waves of the sea stained with the martyrs’ blood are shown around the edge of the image.
