Said the monster that killed God

He merely expressed in his day what is now a reality in so many peoples minds, that God does not exist or more so that it doesn’t matter and thus traditional religions are seen as a waste of time and an attack on individual liberty and right to be oneself.
He also said that the worst aspect of belief is that it stops one from continuing to learn and explore due to gaining an iron clad certainty:
“…this is where humanity’s paths part: if you want peace of soul and happiness, then believe, but if you want to be a follower of truth, then seek” – Nietzsche writing to his sister Elizabeth
