You’re doing a great job, br. paul. May Allah(sw) increase you with the knowledge more and more, and support you with Alrooh AlQudus.
No idea why christians keep telling muslims that they have to read different books written independently by different authors in different times as one book?
We have no obligation to do that since this is the nature/reality of your bible that it’s many books, especially that christians till now have not provided any authentic criteria why those books got chosen by some people to be the word of God! Who gave those people this authority to say x is the world of God & y is not!?
BTW, protestants have a big issue with Catholics regarding Pope’s authority while they accept the bible to be the word of God by the same concept!
Moreover, even within one book of your bible, we have no obligation to read it with your own interpretation as long as the text itself doesn’t state your interpretation.
For example, when Jesus said to jews in John’s gospel that “isn’t written in you laws that some leaders called gods”, then I have all the right to read any verse in John’s gospel which may refer to Jesus as god to be interpreted/seen in light of Jesus’ argument against jews!
Why would we have to interpret it by nonsesne philosophical interpretation devloped later by councils, especially that those councils had no authority from God.
” Say, ” Indeed, those who invent falsehood about Allah will not succeed.
[For them is brief] enjoyment in this world; then to Us is their return; then We will make them taste the severe punishment becuase they used to disbelieve”
