Cat Stevens(Yusuf Islam) has come back again with his guitar and started tours and has achieved the Rock and Roll walk of fame and still a devout Muslim. He used to think it is haram, but now thinks it is permissible in some way it does not lead to bad but good.
I am happy he is representing Islam in International arena with some good melodies. To be honest, I am a music listener. I enjoy listening to music, and I do not use it for any bad deeds but for good and it helps me to reflect on good things and to refrain from bad things. I am yet to come across a verse or hadith that clearly states “don’t listen to music at all”
