Perichoresis of Trinitarian Confusion

Alternatively, we can accept the simple theology of Jesus the Christ as taught in Mark 12:

One of the teachers of the law asked Jesus:

“Of all the commandments, which is the most important?”

“The most important one,” answered Jesus, “is this: ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.”

Perichoresis is a term used in Trinitarian theology to describe the mutual indwelling relationship between Father, Son and Spirit. It derives from language related to dance (hence, choreography). This dance also occurs in the mind when trying to pin ideas down.

  1. In reference to Mk 12, note the response of the Teacher of the Law who posed the question to Jesus:

    Well said, teacher,” the man replied. “You are right in saying that God is one and there is no other but *Him*. 33 To love *Him* with all your heart, with all your understanding and with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself is more important than all burnt offerings and sacrifices.”

    Note: Referring to the One God as *Him* not ‘them’ or ‘they’ 🙂

    You said;
    or ‘we’ or ‘us’

    I say;
    Dr. James White response to this is that, God Being has 3 persons but human beings has each person to 1 being, so God can be 3 persons and still be referred to as “him”.

    Dr. White were did you get this from?

    Which Bible said “God being is 3 persons”?

    Dr. James White, every person is a being. No person whether God or human can be a person without being a being. That is a fact and true no one can deny.

    To say God being is 3 persons is flatly lie.

    Do you mean to tell me Jesus as the 3rd person of Trinity is not a being by himself?

    Is God the Father not a being by himself?

    I can count 2 persons, 2 beings here and not one being.

    Do not tell me as Ken, you can you can define your religion into this because it is a matter of counting. If it is Islam that change this truth, then I will reject Islam.

    Fortunately, you cannot bring any thing in Islam like like this.

    Dr. James White comment here and not hide on your dividing line where no one can challenge you. Your assertion of God being as 3 persons is false, illogical, irrational and impossible.

  5. “But the “Him” here is the 3rd person compound singular …LOL”

    And your point is? ☺

  6. furthermore Eric, ‘Him’ is actually third person singular!

    Which biblical dictionary articulates ‘Him’ in the shema deut 4:6 to refer to a “3rd person *compound* singular”?

  7. Burhanuddin1 “H-i-m. Three letters in one word, see” True, but biblically substantiate that the *shema* is conceptualizing three distinct *persons* form one God? Illustrate that *Him* in reference to God Almighty in the shema is defined as three persons? 🙂 any biblical lexicon will do 🙂
