How can someone do this when we see it being used to do the opposite? Surely it is more true to say as Reza Aslan has said that “we make of it what we will”? That an aggressive mindset makes a aggressive religion and a peaceful outlook makes for a peaceful religion? Sheikh Hamza Yusuf in a video already on this blog. Objectivety here just seems more like a subjective opinion rather than objective reality since people of other faiths or none would not agree with that statement.
Edit: Sheikh Hamza Yusuf in a previous video had affirmed that for some simply reading the Qur’an will not change them at all but rather confirm their prejudices because they have approached it with their minds closed.
