  1. Yes the God-Man Jesus has a God, the Father. We don’t believe in an imaginary incarnation but a real one. Paul doesn’t say the God of our God, although in a sense this is also true. The emphasis in the bible is always on developing a belief for understanding our salvation, not just theoretical discussions about the nature of God.

    • The “God-Man” has a different God from yours. The God of Jesus is NOT the HS. The God of Jesus is “the Father” (of Israel) alone. The God of Jesus is one (1) Lord. Jesus’ God is NOT three Lords.
Your God is three Lords. Or four.

  3. If the tawheed of Allah is the same as the tawheed of any human being should he still be worshipped?

In that case Allah is no greater in his being than any human being. What’s so special about tawheed anyway? Much ado about nothing?

Can you explain the difference between the tawheed ( oneness ) of any single human being and the tawheed of Allah?

Or does tawheed just mean a unique one of a kind or class? Again nothing special.

Are Muslims getting excited about an attribute that all beings possess?

Please enlighten me. I don’t get enthused or warm and fuzzy about tawheed.

“To know God is to know his oneness. To say that God is one has four meanings: two of them are false and two are correct. As for the two meanings that are false, one is that a person should say “God is one” and be thinking of a number and counting. This is false because that which has no second cannot enter into the category of number. Do you not see that those who say that God is a third of a trinity fall into this infidelity? Another meaning is to say, “So-and-So is one of his people,” namely, a species of this genus or a member of this species. This meaning is also false when applied to God, because it implies likening something to God, whereas God is above all likeness. As to the two meanings that are correct when applied to God, one is that it should be said that “God is one” in the sense that there is no likeness to him among things. Another is to say that “God is one” in the sense that there is no multiplicity or division conceivable in Him, neither outwardly, nor in the mind, nor in the imagination. God alone possesses such a unity.[9]”

Very confusing and mysterious is it not?

Does any Muslim know what he means when he says that God is one?

    • What on earth are you talking about? Tawheed is very easy to understand. It is to acknowledge that God has no partners. The source you quoted above is a Shia source, but even it captures the essence of Tawheed:

“As to the two meanings that are correct when applied to God, one is that it should be said that “God is one” in the sense that there is no likeness to him among things. Another is to say that “God is one” in the sense that there is no multiplicity or division conceivable in Him, neither outwardly, nor in the mind, nor in the imagination. God alone possesses such a unity.”

And as a Sunni source states:

“Allaah is Waahid, meaning that He has no rivals or peers in any way. So Tawheed means knowing Allaah is One, with none like unto Him. Whoever does not acknowledge Allaah in these terms and does not describe Him as being One with no partner or associate does not believe in Tawheed.

With regard to the shar’i definition of Tawheed, it means believing in Allaah alone as God and Lord and attributing to Him alone all the attributes of Lordship and divinity” (https://islamqa.info/en/49030).

What is so hard to understand? I think you Christians are pretending not to understand the concept because you feel like you need to level the playing field due to the incomprehensibility of your trinity. Now there is a confusing and utterly ridiculous concept.

But we are digressing from the topic. Christians do that when they are cornered.

As I said, to worship Jesus while acknowledging that he has a God is the worst kind of paradox. It is a pagan concept. Tawheed does away with such nonsense. Believers in Tawheed don’t accept a paradox such as this because it runs counter to reason and to the teachings of monotheism. If Jesus has a God, then he is not God himself and is not worthy of worship. Only God, who answers to none, is worthy of worship. It’s simple.

But the 99 names are all attributes that can be present in humanity to a greater or lesser degree. So Allah is not one in the sense that nothing is like him.

“No multiplicity or division conceivable in him………in the mind or in the imagination”.

But Allah must know how many items of knowledge are in his mind. How many words and which words are in the Koran for example, which was a product of his mind. Is it possible for Allah to know one thing from another without some kind of multiplicity or division in the mind or imagination? This is a denial of the law of contradiction. So we have an incoherent deity in Islam?

The names of Allah apply to Him because no one is greater. One of His names is “Al-Rahim”, the Merciful. People can be merciful as well, but no one is more merciful than Allah (Glorified and Exalted be He). Hence, He is unique.

First of all, incoherence is a Christian problem. Christians live in a glass house and people in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones.

Second, you misunderstood what the source actually states. What it says is that God is One in the sense that He is not divisible or multiplied, as is the trinitarian god.

LOL!! No wonder you guys hate it when people ask you to explain your concept of god – it exposes the incoherence of the tawhid.

Your god never says that he has 99 names – that is a man-made extrapolation, an extrapolation, in fact, that is not agreed upon by all muslims. Your god is also the “best of deceivers”, which is the only coherent aspect of tawhid – his 99 names do not reveal his essence, but are mere actions that he has or might take, which means that his mercy could be one of his greatest deceptions.

    • LOL!!! Fido and his ignorance rear their ugly heads again! The Quran refers to God’s Names:

“The most beautiful names belong to Allah: so call on him by them; but shun such men as use profanity in his names: for what they do, they will soon be requited” (7:180)

“Say: “Call upon Allah, or call upon Rahman: by whatever name ye call upon Him, (it is well): for to Him belong the Most Beautiful names. Neither speak thy Prayer aloud, nor speak it in a low tone, but seek a middle course between” (17:110).

“Allah! there is no god but He! To Him belong the most Beautiful Names” (20:8).

“He is Allah, the Creator, the Evolver, the Bestower of Forms (or Colours). To Him belong the Most Beautiful names: whatever is in the heavens and on earth, doth declare His Praises and Glory: and He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise” (59:24).

So, these verses tell us that Allah has many names, some of which are mentioned, such as “Al-Rahman”. The Quran mentions all the other names elsewhere, so that is how we get 99 names.

See how simple it is? I think you pathetic Christians pretend that Tawhid is “incoherent” because you are desperately trying to level the playing field, given the utterly nonsensical trinity doctrine. LOL!!! No wonder you guys always try to deflect attention from the incoherence of Christianity whenever it is up for discussion! Your pagan religion cannot stand the weight of scrutiny! LOL!!!

So your answer is no – your fake god never says that he has 99 names/attributes/personalities or that the number of his names is significant in any way.

But it is interesting that your god puts such great importance on shallow considerations like his “names” but never reveals his essence. In his own words your god is the greatest deceiver so he would boast about his names but deceive you about his essence.

As the greatest deceiver is he a good entity or an evil one? And why isn’t the greatest deceiver one of his attributes?

Throughout the Quran, these names are used. Therefore, when you add them up, you get 99 names. See? Very simple! Clearly, you have no idea what kind of creature you worship – you had to figure out his identity by leafing through your incoherent book and counting the times he used words to describe himself, and even then that does not tell you anything about who your god is.

See, your god makes no sense – even with his 99 names/personalities /attributes (tell me again, where does your god say he has 99 attributes?) you can’t know him. Your god’s 99 names are useless and redundant.

Mohsin Khan – And they (disbelievers) plotted to kill ‘Îsa [(Jesus) عليه السلام], and Allah plotted too. And Allah is the Best of those who plot.

“Still unable to explain your concept of god. LOL!!! The only thing we can derive about your god from his fake book is that he is a boastful arrogant entity – much like the fallen angels……”

LOL!!! Still trying to deflect from your incoherent, mathematically challenged trinity and your deceiver god? Pathetic!! Here is some more proof from your Bible of the deceiving nature of your god:

1 The Lord said to Samuel, “How long will you mourn for Saul, since I have rejected him as king over Israel? Fill your horn with oil and be on your way; I am sending you to Jesse of Bethlehem. I have chosen one of his sons to be king.” 2 But Samuel said, “How can I go? If Saul hears about it, he will kill me.” The Lord said, “Take a heifer with you and say, ‘I have come to sacrifice to the Lord.’ 3 Invite Jesse to the sacrifice, and I will show you what to do. You are to anoint for me the one I indicate.” – 1 Samuel 16:1-3

WOW!! So God told Samuel to lie to Saul!

20 And the LORD said, ‘Who will entice Ahab into attacking Ramoth Gilead and going to his death there?’ “One suggested this, and another that. 21 Finally, a spirit came forward, stood before the LORD and said, ‘I will entice him.’22 ” ‘By what means?’ the LORD asked. “‘I will go out and be a lying spirit in the mouths of all his prophets,’ he said.” ‘You will succeed in enticing him,’ said the LORD. ‘Go and do it.’ Here we see that the man said that he would resort to lying in order to entice Ahab and God supported the idea and told him to go ahead and do it! – 1 Kings 22:20-22

“Go to the feast yourselves; I am not going up to this feast, for my time has not yet fully come.” So saying, he remained in Galilee. But after his brothers had gone up to the feast, then he also went up, not publicly but in private.” – John 7:8-10

Just to further confirm your point against fail, had the Quran wanted to make sure to Christians that it was attacking the Trinity then it would have needed to use words such as, jawhar wahid (“one substance”), thalatha aqanim (“three hypostases”). Moreover, it would need to have used the following expression, Al-Aqanim-Al-Thalatha (lit. “the Hypostases the Three”), since this is what Christians used to describe the Trinity.

Therefore, the Quran would have needed to say,

“They are unbelievers who say that Allah is one substance (awhar wahi) in three hypostases (thalatha aqanim).”

      Or,

“They are unbelievers who say that Allah is three hypostases (thalatha aqanim).”

      Or,

“They are unbelievers who believe in the three hypostases (Al-Aqanim-Al-Thalatha).”

      Or,

“Say not Three Hypostases (Al-Aqanim-Al-Thalatha, or thalatha aqanim).”

Isa(Jesus) never defined what Dr. James R. White defined in his book as Trinity. Isa(Jesus) never defined what councils upon councils defined as Trinity, so Allah will not ask Jesus about any definitions but Allah will exonerate Isa(Jesus) and his mother Mary for Isa(Jesus) never say he is God or his mother Mary is God and must be worshiped.

Do not say 3. Including Rastafarian Trinity and other Trinities and not you and Dr. James R. White’s Trinity alone. Do not demand your Christianity or Trinity Christianity alone because there are many different types of Christians and Christian Trinities.

Paul’s Pal, you assume your type of Christianity and Trinity is the only Christians. You are totally wrong. Do a lot of readings, reasoning and study and do not follow Dr. James R. White, he does not think before bringing such responses.
