Jonathan A.C. Brown (born 1977) is an American scholar of Islamic studies. Since 2012, he has been associate professor at Georgetown University’s Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service. In 2014, he was appointed Chair of Islamic Civilization. He is the editor in chief of the Oxford Encyclopedia of Islam and Law.

If you do then please send him this one here: https://mafqudwamawjud.wordpress.com/2016/07/12/did-muhammad-quote-paul/, the Hadith al-Qudsi seems to be the exact phrase Paul said and has its absolute origin in Isaiah, though the hadith is closer to Paul’s quote, not to Isaiah’s.

This passage was indeed a famous quote used by christians often, so maybe it was knowingly reused to make them attentive to turn to the real religion. And God knows best.
