A fascinating article by Tim Winter (also known as Shaykh Abdal Hakim Murad), a British Sunni Muslim sheikh, researcher, writer and academic. He is the Dean of the Cambridge Muslim College, Director of Studies (Theology and Religious Studies) at Wolfson College and the Shaykh Zayed Lecturer in Islamic Studies at Cambridge University.     Paul, very nice article. I quickly skimmed parts of it.
    Can you please summarize the gist of it? Winter is blessed to write beautifully but it will take some time to read and digest it.
