the strength of a society is not assimilation… to the contrary if you make it one big melting pot then everyone loses his individuality… and with the loss of diversity comes the loss of creativity… [read 1984]
in short, if everyone blends in to something called England [the furor called it Aryan… same idea] then the uniqueness of the Greek, Portuguese, Spanish, Lebanese, Arabian… will lose their culture and contribute nothing to English society. if they bring their customs, music, art, faith, philosophy and everything else, heed to the law of local government of course… they will be the greatest contributors to English culture…

The problem with your comparison here is that you conflated ethnicities with a religion. I agree with the former but the latter must assimilate to western value. Sadly it won’t and we end up with the terrible state we see in Europe at the moment

i disagree. the “Western” world you’re referring to was founded on Judeo-christian values… why should a muslim, which has a value systym of his own and many beautiful ethics and teachings we can learn and benefit from, abandon it for something else… let us both learn from eachother… i know its sounds utopian. but forcing law-abiding people to abandon their heritage is destopian… [sorry for the speeling mistakes…]

Must be followed above all else, in which case it cannot coexist inside the western social/political and judicial system. Thus it must assimilate or be abandoned. if a Muslim insists on following the shariah they will inevitably be breaking western laws at some point- that is just a reality.
Europe is in chaos now because the utopian hasn’t worked. Many tend to think that Islam is just a set of values, praying, fasting, etc. but shariah is all encompassing of life, politics and law and obligatory upon Muslims.

we can have a whole back and forth, waste of time. i stressed a few times that they are law-abiding citizins. and BTW by the RNC last week. VP candidate Mike Pence [almost sure it was him] said “I am a Chritstian, a father, and an American. In that order!” i think that is a beautiful thing to say. If Muslims want to practice Sharia regarding marital, monetary, dietary, ect. laws who cares? if they want to stone people that’s where they should be deported to the Moon. Usually the poeple that want to do the stoning are more comfortable in IS or Saudi or with the Taliban… why would he come to a christian land??? so we don’t disagree regarding the people that want to kill, no matter their religion they should be shipped to the Moon. but law-abiding people should be encouraged to practice Sharia… Their monetary laws probably make more sense than British law… and it is not against the law to go to a privae court if both sides agree. whatever, im getting tired. gn

Point proven Mozer- you are happy to allow Muslims some aspects of Sharia, but not all. So you equally wish to restrict Islamic influence and practice. You’ve just drawn the line in the land a little farther down the beach than I would. In the end we both agree that Islam cannot coexist in the west 100% and that’s a good thing. It must assimilate or be abandoned eventually.

did not say that and don’t put words into my mouth… i said from the biggining that if they live in any country they have to abide to the laws of the land. not killing people that the quoran commands to kill does not mean that they cant do everything else. I’m not in the position to tell people what to do. neither are you. if they break the law then they should be punished like everyone else. if the law discriminates against them, then it is a problem, for the future of such a country…

The reality is that Islamic enclaves are forming in Europe. Religious attacks are happening almost daily. Society is torn between opposing groups. German troops have been deployed for the first time since WW2. France is in disarray. Brazil happened because people are scared or fed up with Islamic immigration. Yep, Europe is in chaos.

But what does this mean? Peaceful coexistence as people learn to respect each other’s beliefs and values, which are protected by a system of laws designed to ensure no single set of ideals dominates the political landscape and is therefore protecting minorities?
