An invitation to worship a man refused. Let us do as Jesus did and worship his God and Lord.

Acts 2:22

‘You that are Israelites, listen to what I have to say: Jesus of Nazareth, a man attested to you by God with deeds of power, wonders, and signs that God did through him among you, as you yourselves know”

  1. Jesus Christ said in John 8:58 that HE IS Lord YAHWEH (THE ETERNAL GOD, and GOD OF UNIVERSE) who introduced Himself to prophet Moses as ‘I AM’ or ‘YAHWEH’ , (Exodus 3:14-15).

    John 8:58 (RYNT)
Jesus said to them, ‘Verily, verily, I say to you, Before Abraham’s coming — I AM* (HAYAH = YAHWEH; I AM The Eternal God);’

    Exodus 3:14-15 (YLT)
And God (Jesus Christ pre-incarnate) saith unto Moses, `I AM THAT WHICH I AM;’ He saith also, `Thus dost thou say to the sons of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.’
And God (Jesus Christ pre-incarnate) saith again unto Moses, `Thus dost thou say unto the sons of Israel, YAHWEH, God of your fathers, God of Abraham, God of Isaac, and God of Jacob, hath sent me unto you; this [is] My name — to the age, and this My memorial, to generation — generation.”

    • Let’s assume Jesus said that and meant somehow what you mean.

If he said that, Jesus was a heretic.
The “I AM” speaking in Exodus is the Triune God? Or God the Father? Who is it.?

Jesus is NOT the Father nor the Triune God.

If you say it was the Word/Son speaking in Exodus, it was not Jesus either, because Jesus is the incarnate God-Man who didn’t exist back then.

  2. Paul, can you please outline exactly how you “follow Jesus Christ”? What sources do you use to follow him? How do you know what he did and taught to follow him? How do you know he wouldn’t want you to worship him?

    • I refer you to God’s final revelation to mankind, the Holy Qur’an, for answers to all your questions.

    • Ok- but you realise “real scholars” don’t accept or use the Koran for historical Jesus studies

    • the western academic methodology excludes God and his Revelation as sources of knowledge. You however are not a scholar, so there should be no problem

    • Paul Williams

“I refer you to God’s final revelation to mankind, the Holy Qur’an, for answers to all your questions.”

    • Or, an Arab document 6 centuries later is simply not relevant historically? And besides, the New Testament is seen as revelation so your point is self refuting.

    • The New Testament does not claim to be inspired by God, nor does it claim to be the Word of God, nor does it claim to be a Revelation, of any kind whatsoever. So your claims are besides the point.

    • Silly. My point was that your claim that western scholarship methodology excludes God and revelation is demonstrably false because the entire basis of historical Jesus studies is in the New Testament. Just face it, the Koran is excluded not on the basis of some inherent dislike of religious texts, but on the basis that it has no historical value for Jesus studies. You know this rationally, you are just unwilling to admit as much publically. I don’t believe for a second that you actually believe half of what you write.

    • well in that case there is no point in talking to you further.

New Testament is seen as revelation? By who?

  4. Luke 5:27 – Jesus was teaching, and Pharisees and teachers of the law were sitting there. They had come from every village of Galilee and from Judea and Jerusalem. And the power of the Lord was with Jesus to heal the sick.

God gave Jesus the power to heal.
Jesus once quoted a beautiful passage from Isaiah 61 which begins with “the spirit of the Lord is upon me”.
Jesus also grew in God’s favour.

To me it seems quite clear that Jesus had a God, who is the same God we all worship.

  5. The only way to follow the true path of Jesus is to follow the last man who showed that very path, and, most fortunate for us, left behind him the instruction manual (Quran) to ensure we never stray from that path.
