Jesus is God because the bible says he is God ie John 1:1.

not a very good argument. The Bible does not claim to be authored by God or even inspired by God.

Wrong. Cf 2 Timothy 3:16.

that verse does not refer to the NT. Try again.

Yeah it does. 2 Peter refers to Paul’s words as scripture. You try again.

if you look at the words in 2 Tim it refers to the OT. The NT did not exist during Paul’s lifetime.

Because the apostles were personally appointed by Jesus. The church knew the apostles spoke for God.. 2 Peter clearly refers to Paul’s words as scripture.

Did Jesus tell people to write the NT?
2 Peter is a forgery and anyways does not refer to the gospels or the letters of Peter James, Jude etc.

Jesus called Paul “my chosen vessel”. So everything Paul said has the imprimatur of Jesus.

That is not the same as writing Holy Scripture to go alongside the Jewish Bible. Paul shows no awareness that he is doing that in his occasional letters.

I’m asking Allah to open that man’s heart to the light of Islam.Ya Rabb.
For christians,
Christians say that Jesus is God because he can forgive sins while in the same time they believe that God cannot forgive sins without a sacrifice.
For jews,
It’s obvious that the prophecy about David and his sons has failed. Jews are confused a lot about that concept of their messiah. Only Islam has the answer for that confusion.
They can read (Daniel2) which is obvious about Islam. The kingdom of God is to establish his religion & his message.

Agreed Abdullah. Hebrews 9:22 says without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins.

You misunderstand Job. He was “blameless and upright”. Thats established at the start to show that bad things happen to good people. You can’t use that to say he was sinlesd

Then the question is how Jesus could forgive sins in Matthew 9 & Luke 7 without the shedding of blood?

Let’s ask Job indeed:
“His sons used to go and make a feast in the house of each on his day, and they would send and call for their three sisters to eat and drink with them. Now when the days of feasting had run their course, Job sent and sanctified them. He would rise up early in the morning, AND HE WOULD OFFER BURNT OFFERINGS ACCORDING TO THE NUMBER OF THEM ALL, because Job said: ‘It may be that my sons HAVE SINNED, and cursed God in their hearts.’ Thus Job would do always.” Job 1:4-5
“And so it was, that after the Lord had spoken these words to Job, the Lord said to Eliphaz the Temanite, ‘My wrath is kindled against you and against your two friends, for you have not spoken of Me what is right as My servant Job has. And now, take for yourselves SEVEN BULLS AND SEVEN RAMS, and go to My servant Job, AND OFFER UP FOR YOURSELVES A BURNT OFFERING; and My servant Job will pray for you. For him I will accept, lest I deal with you according to your folly, in that you have not spoken of Me the thing which is right like My servant Job.’ So Eliphaz the Temanite, and Bildad the Shuhite, and Zophar the Naamathite went and did as the Lord had commanded them; the Lord also accepted Job. And the Lord restored the fortunes of Job when he prayed for his friends, and also the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before.” Job 42:7-10

So we see that Job realized that he needed faith, repentance and vicarious sacrifices in order to be perfect in the sight of God.
Now what was that about Job and being a nutter?
OUCH!

Sam,
Job(as) did the burnt offerings for his sons in that passage, not for himself.

Yet your Jesus forgave sins without any sacrifice. Read Matthew9 & Luke 7. The sins of the man and the woman were just forgiven. Where was the sacrifice?!
Are you saying the god of OT cannot forgive sins without a sacrifice, yet Jesus can?!

Abdullah, Jesus was a Jew ministering with Jews, ergo, they were all involved in the sacrificial system.
You Muslims complain that people don’t read the Koran in its historical context yet seem quite happy to ignore the Jewish context of Jesus life.
So let me ask, was Jesus a Jew?

Hebrews 9:22 is misinterpretation of the OT. If correct how come King David, Abraham had thier sins forgiven? Repentance and Correction not Suicide By God.

Jesus said Abraham looked forward to his day and rejoiced. The atoning death reaches back in time as well as forwards in time. As if God is bound by time.

“Then Noah built an altar to the LORD and took of every clean animal and of every clean bird and offered burnt offerings on the altar. THE LORD SMELLED A SOOTHING AROMA; and the LORD said in His heart, ‘I WILL NEVER AGAIN CURSE THE GROUND BECAUSE OF MAN, for the inclination of man’s heart is evil from his youth, nor will I again destroy every living thing as I have done.'” Genesis 8:20-21
“The Lord appeared to Abram and said, ‘To your descendants I will give this land.’ SO HE BUILT AN ALTAR TO THE LORD, who had appeared to him. From there he continued on to a mountain to the east of Bethel and pitched his tent, having Bethel on the west and Ai on the east. THERE HE BUILT AN ALTAR TO THE LORD AND CALLED ON THE NAME OF THE LORD.” Genesis 12:7-8
“He continued on his journey from the Negev and came to Bethel, to the place where his tent had been at the beginning, between Bethel and Ai, to the place WHERE HE FIRST MADE AN ALTAR. THERE ABRAM CALLED ON THE NAME OF THE LORD… So Abram moved his tent and came and settled by the oaks of Mamre, which are in Hebron, AND BUILT AN ALTAR TO THE LORD THERE.” Genesis 13:3-4, 18
“HE BUILT AN ALTAR THERE, CALLED ON THE NAME OF THE LORD, and pitched his tent there. And there Isaac’s servants dug a well.” Genesis 26:25
“For the Music Director. A Psalm of David, when Nathan the Prophet came to him, after he had gone in to Bathsheba… For You do not desire sacrifice, or I would give it; You do not delight in burnt offering. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and a contrite heart, O God, You will not despise. Do good to Zion in Your good pleasure; build the walls of Jerusalem. THEN YOU WILL PLEASED WITH THE SACRIFICES OF RIGHTEOUSNESS, WITH BURNT OFFERING AND WHOL BURTN OFFERING; THEN THEY WILL OFFER YOUNG BULLS ON YOUR ALTAR.” Psalm 51:16-19
Sure sounds like all of God’s people knew of the necessity of offering sacrifices upon altars for the forgiveness of sins.

According to the quran, Jesus is god’s spirit breathed into human flesh, hence, jesus is divine. Even your own “holy” book cannot hide the truth.

Lol,try picking up the book and reading it once in a while,or at least read the full verse.
O People of the Scripture, do not commit excess in your religion or say about Allah except the truth. The Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary, was but a messenger of Allah and His word which He directed to Mary and a soul [created at a command] from Him. So believe in Allah and His messengers. And do not say, “Three”; desist – it is better for you. Indeed, Allah is but one God. Exalted is He above having a son. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. And sufficient is Allah as Disposer of affairs.[Surah 4:171]

I know that verse – it proves that the quran is internally contradictory. Could you explain how god’s spirit can be anything other than divine? Does allah have a “non-divine” spirit that is separate from his divinity?

“Everything is from God. Our souls are also from God. It doesn’t mean we are divine.”
Here we go.
Nothing in creation can be of or from god – your own concept of allah precludes such blasphemy (if you are to be logically consistent). For this to be true, you have to say that some part of allah is separated from the rest and becomes finite.

All of creation is from God just as Christianity teaches. He creates out of nothing by his command just like Genesis 1.

Sigh.
That doesn’t address the logical inconsistency and is an even more clear example of blasphemy. According to you, allah divides himself amongst his creation and parts of him enter creation, become finite and separate form him.
I think you are confused about tawheed – you sound like a hindu.

Please elaborate on how I’ve been logically inconsistent?
The muslim comments claim that the universe is made up of pieces of allah that have been formed into finite creation making them some kind of pantheists, yet, islamic theology claims that allah is absolutely transcendent, completely incapable of becoming immanent, and is an absolute singular, undivided entity. Who is right?
Clearly, muslims don’t comprehend their own concept of allah – they fall into polytheistic sounding heresy when trying to do so.
So, who is being logically inconsistent? Certainly not me.
