Norma McCorvey, who was the Jane Roe of the infamous Roe vs. Wade Supreme Court case legalizing virtually unlimited abortions, passed away today. McCorvey never had an abortion and eventually became pro-life and dedicated her life to overturning the horrible Supreme Court decision that bared her pseudonym.
McCorvey died today in Texas. She was 69.

Why do we wish her to rest in peace so actively, when it’s known for 99,9% sure that she died as non-Muslim and will be punished for all eternity? Qur’an depicts the death of disbelievers in a way opposite to what “R.I.P” would imply: from the very beginning their souls are torturously extracted by angels, and they receive punishment even as they are yet staying only in their graves.

You can’t say whether someone specific is in hell or heaven.Even if the person dies in shirk,it is not up to you to judge. We can only make general statements regarding people who die in shirk.Individual judgement is up to Allah alone.

It must have been a heavy burden for her to bear, for so many years, knowing her surname was associated with such a legal decision. May she rest in peace.
