There’s a subtle difference between the Quranic and Biblical narratives regarding the Exodus, which on further inspection proves the accuracy of the Quran.
The Bible says the Israelites at the start of the Exodus “were about six hundred thousand men on foot, besides women and children” Ex 12:37. So if the women were also about 600,000, and the children 600,000, this means they were 1.8 million. This excluding other people the Bible says journeyed with them. This raises a number of irreconcilable impossibilities:
(a) It is impossible for a certain population to grow from 12 men to 1.8 million in just 4 generations (Moses is the great-grandson of Levi, one of the patriarchs); only if we assumed they had superhuman fertility. with zero infant mortality.
(b) 1.8 million is about a half of the estimated population of Egypt at the 12th century B.C. This would have resulted in a massive demographic collapse in Egypt, for which there is no documentary or archaeological evidence.
(c) the migration and residence of 1.8 million in the Sinai desert and the Trans-jordan would have left archaeological remains, even if it were simple rock paintings. We know the Sahara desert was lush and green because humans painted animals which lived there thousands of years ago.
On the other hand, the Quranic narrative:
– Says that the Israelites were few in number: “(Pharaoh said): Indeed, those are but a small band, and indeed, they are enraging us” 26:55-56.
– There is no mention in the Quran of the massive destruction and genocide mentioned in the bible, rather “Said two men from those who feared [to disobey] upon whom Allah had bestowed favor, “Enter upon them through the gate, for when you have entered it, you will be predominant. And upon Allah rely, if you should be believers.” 5:23
This without mentioning that the Bible calls both kings of Egypt at Joseph’s and Moses’ time “Pharoahs”, while the Quran correctly says that they were called “Kings” at Joseph’s time, a fact confirmed by recent Egyptology.
For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, (15) Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, (16) That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; (17) That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, (18) May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; (19) And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God. (20) Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, (21) Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen. Eph 3:14-21

Interesting Christians (Evangelicals) claim that a certain scholarly conclusion can not be utilized because it was either from a an ”apostate” or a ”liberal” or from a ”cultist” etc. They scream that only a conservative 100% Biased scholar be used. Yet they consistently use the arguments of and by Dr Qureshi on Islam or some other alleged ”Apostate”. I thought they were consistent? LOL They also rely on Shamoun and White and Licona and Spencer for views on the Qur’an but will refuse Dr Ehrman! Wow. How can a lying deceitful Apologist who neither knows nor understands arabic Nabeel Qureshi be used as a source for Islam yet we can not use a real world class scholar from a top biblical institution who is representative of Mainstream Scholarship such as Dr Ehrman!!

Fatoohi is an Iraqi of Christian background but converted to Islam.
Please check out Fatoohi’s excellent website that covers this historical material….
