In a Torah run state (as may Orthodox Jews wish to create), Oscar Wilde would be murdered for his homosexuality.
Leviticus 20:13:
‘If a man has sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They are to be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads.’
Kev, people were not killed for their inclinations or their acts in private in the previous caliphates…the government only gets involved when people commit specific acts in public arenas and when there is enough evidence.
That’s why practically nobody has gotten that death penalty in Islamic history compared to European Christian history where it was dished out regularly.
I only re-read books that are beneficial to improving knowledge and understanding…. this of course includes Islamic Scriptures but also other texts and reference books as well, both religious and non-religious.

I tend not to reread books often. Only the Sacred Scriptures I reread.

I reread poems regularly – e.g. the poetry of TS Eliot.
