You brought this same misunderstanding some months back and I corrected you but you are bringing it back.
Pure sand was used in the olden days especially in Asia and Africa to clean utensils. Still today if you visit Africa, some parts of the population or poor who do not have money to buy metal sponge or anti bacterial soaps use pure sand to scrub their bowls very well to remove any residue of dirt or bacteria.
The science behind our prophet saying sand must be used a number of times is to make sure any remaining bacteria from the dogs mouth is removed through several scrubbing of the bowl with pure sand.
Paulus, be honest, dogs have so many dangerous diseases that can infect and kill humans and it is require by law to send your dogs for rabbis injections and other checkups and violations could land you into trouble.
So, do not blame our prophet, God has seen all these at that time and advising our prophet what steps to take to protect his people from the disease that can be transmitted by dogs.

When bitten by dog and other animals today, it is required to clean that area, so said by the doctors and scientist before rushing to hospital.

Prophet Mohammed is not the first person to cull dogs. Dogs have diseases such as rabbis and other diseases that infect human beings. Dogs have been culled and continue to be culled from centuries to centuries. Dumb people like you who follow David Wood who does not speak Arabic and does not know Islamic religion but to select any thing that he wants is disappointing.
Today, any dog owner is mandated to be sending his dog for rabbis injection and other diseases injection. David ‘Wood is not Islamic Scholar and does not speak classical Arabic to tell us the reason for culling of dogs during prophet Mohammed’s time.
If a dog has rabbis and other diseases that infect human it is killed today. If dogs are infected with rabbis they are killed today.

I remember a young Christian girl walking her dog in our neighbourhood in Indonesia. A group of young Muslim kids then came from their houses and started yelling, screams and throwing objects at the dog and girl. She ran home crying.
Hatred for dogs is ingrained in Muslim cultures because of the example of Muhammad. I’ve discussed this numerous times here. It is special pleading based on western values of embarrassment that leads the Muslims on this blog to appeal to ‘safety reasons’ to excuse Muhammad.
The authentic Hadith tell us that muhmmad killed the dogs because he believed the devil resided in them and because they apparently prevented jibril from entering. There is no mention of health or safety issues.
I guess it isn’t much different from Muhammad believing the devil resided in Muslim nose cavities during the night- just pagan superstition from the seventh century.
Muslims should be smart enough now to dismiss some of the absurdities of the sunnah

Look Abdullah, I find this discussion tiresome. According to your religion, dog saliva is haram, and I’ve heard Muslims say this because it is dirty and full of disease. I get that. But have a think about this Hadith:
Muslim (280):” If a dog licks the vessel of one of you, let him wash it seven times and rub it with soil the eighth time”
Why would you rub it with soil to make it “clean”. That is old Arab superstition, not godly wisdom. If saliva is unclean, then surely soil more so.
Your insults won’t convince me. By all means continue to think that sharia is divine wisdom, but don’t expect the rest of us to accept clear pagan superstition for divine wisdom.
Now, I better go wash my vessels in soil to make them clean…lol

Jeus seems to have been a Jewish Supremacist, not a universalist. He called Gentiles “pigs” and “dogs” and told his disciples not to go to them. The Gospels also never have Jesus going into any Gentile cities. Second Temple Messianism was about the liberation of Israel and *destruction* of Gentiles. It was Paul who universalized it.

The US kills over a million healthy (not rabid) dogs every year to reduce overpopulation and its impact on the ecosystem, but fans of David Wood are categorical killing dogs at one point in time in Arabia can’t be for public health reasons. Ok.

I say;
You brought this same misunderstanding some months back and I corrected you but you are bringing it back.
Pure sand was used in the olden days especially in Asia and Africa to clean utensils. Still today if you visit Africa, some parts of the population or poor who do not have money to buy metal sponge or anti bacterial soaps use pure sand to scrub their bowls very well to remove any residue of dirt or bacteria.
The science behind our prophet saying sand must be used a number of times is to make sure any remaining bacteria from the dogs mouth is removed through several scrubbing of the bowl with pure sand.
Paulus, be honest, dogs have so many dangerous diseases that can infect and kill humans and it is require by law to send your dogs for rabbis injections and other checkups and violations could land you into trouble.
So, do not blame our prophet, God has seen all these at that time and advising our prophet what steps to take to protect his people from the disease that can be transmitted by dogs.
Sand is used to scrub and clean utensils and through several scrubs any bacteria will be removed. There was no anti bacterial soap at the time of our prophet.
Do not be surprised if certain part of animal is declared unclean because Jesus declared pigs and other animals unclean Mr. Paulus. Have you forgotten about that?
It is not superstition but science, cleanliness and disinfection. Today Dogs must be constantly vaccinated by law to make sure the diseases they have must be treated in order not to infect humans.
Our prophet at that time has his population and anti rabbis vaccine, anti bacterial soap and other modern health products were not invented so Prophet Mohammed’s God was teaching him how to use what is available to prevent infections from dogs and other animals.
What is wrong about that?
Paulus, it is unwise to read something from Islam and make conclusion without research or asking why is such a thing like using sand to scrub a bowl then rinse it to disinfect it.

Paul, I didn’t realise you were with Matthew when he wrote his gospel to know he eliminated things. Do you have a personal time machine or are you God-incarnate?

Jesus said pigs and other animals are unclean in Leviticus please. If Jesus changed his mind it is not my concern. My concern is that Jesus said animals are unclean and that is true Jesus said that unless you do not believe Jesus is God.
So, Jesus said animals are unclean and I do not care if he change his mind he did say animals are unclean and it is unwise to attack someone’s prophet for unclean animals like pigs and dogs saliva that might contain rabbis and require did infection.
When bitten by dog and other animals today, it is required to clean that area, so said by the doctors and scientist before rushing to hospital.
Why blame our prophet for advising his followers to do that?
