It seems that the very meaning of Christmas (that “God could suffer and die”) is radically contradicted by the Bible itself. My question therefore to Christians: should we believe you or the teaching of 1 Timothy 6: 15-16?

isn’t the meaning of christmas that god was saved by his mum and dad and innocent children up to 2 years slaughtered?

I thought the meaning of Christmas is to celebrate winter solstice, Saturnalia, increased corporate profits……and candy canes!

Definitely candy canes.

how does a god suffer?
is it 1 person, 2 natures suffering ?
or is it 1 person minus divine nature + human nature suffering?
so where does the personless divine nature go ? is it like a headless chicken observing the suffering of 1 person + 1 nature?

TO say God suffered would be a heresy, according to RC Sproul, called Theopassianism
