How so?
The original term “Evangelical” was what the Protestant Reformers called themselves. The word “Protestant” was more of a political term later applied to them.

I agree, except given my time around Americans I suspect it’s a much bigger phenomenon among them.
Also, they like to say, “let’s just go ahead and…” ( you fill in the blank). I couldn’t concentrate they said it so often.
