Christians keep saying that the prophetﷺ is not an eyewitness! Guess what? That’s exactly what Qur’an keeps telling the prophet ﷺ.
“That is from the news of the unseen which We reveal to you, [O Muhammad]. And you were not with them when they cast their pens as to which of them should be responsible for Mary. Nor were you with them when they disputed” QT 3:44
“That is from the news of the unseen which We reveal, [O Muhammad], to you. And you were not with them when they put together their plan while they conspired” QT 12:102
“And you, [O Muhammad], were not on the western side [of the mount] when We revealed to Moses the command, and you were not among the witnesses [to that].” QT 28:44.
Allah عز وجل is the ONE who tells the prophetﷺ the matter of unseen.
“To whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. And Allah, over all things, is Witness” QT 85:9.
Muslims’ perspective about that incident is that something happened, yet Jesus was not killed, nor was he crucified.
Christians, on the other hand, cannot provide any historical evidence regarding that Jesus had predicted his death nor can they provide that Jesus had taught that his death is to wash the sins of humanity. Therefore, even if some disciples thought that he got killed, which is something christians cannot provide strong evidence about, then that by itself doesn’t prove that they believed that Jesus was god who died for their sins.
Finally, the crusader Mike Licona needs to elevate his style of in debating with Muslims and to leave David woods’ style if he wants to be taken seriously.
